It's been 5 months now. I received my AP in like 2 months after I applied for it though which was a big surprise. I also know some people still keep receiving EADs within 90 days. So it's really so different for everybody(

I applied in August and haven't heard anything :(

They are so quick to cash our cheques, but then dump our applications to the side and keep us waiting for months.

I applied in September and have yet to receive my AP and EAD. It is my AP that is important to me because I really want to travel home before giving birth.

I am just going to forget about traveling home to the U.K next month.

This process is so frustrating. It is even worse for me that NONE my receipt numbers work on the case status site.

188 days and still nothing!

Seeing your signature line, your expedition for EAD was denied?? How did you know about this? Did they give a reason?

Thanks!

I am asking because I am still unsure about my expedition request. Some officer says mine is yet to be approved while some other officer says my case has been expedited... (it has been over 1 month after my expedition request)

Requested the expedite late Dec, assigned mid-late Jan, and then they "sent a response" according to myUSCIS. The letter/email said "while serious, it's not an emergency".

Funny thing is, I know that someone else on VJ in the EXACT same circumstances who DID get his AP expedited. AND he filed in October/November..... :D

I kind of remember seeing someone on VJ who requested expedition of his AP with his local office. Not sure if this is still a valid channel...

I applied in August and haven't heard a thing. I have made three service requests and they have been nothing but ignored.

Hi @Londonergirl, by ignored, do you mean USCIS mark your SR as completed and never sent you a response?

I am in this situation because they normally sent me an email, but this time, nothing.

If it helps, I got the response to the expedite in the mail TODAY but it was dated Jan 24... not sure what that's all about.

Must have been an "emergency AP", where you show up at their doorstep and beg. Definitely a last resort.

They have not even opened my requests, no one has read them. And I have sent three in total. I phoned USCIS and asked why no one had looked at them and the woman said that she didn't know.

I sort of heard that AP is routinely approved. Not sure what the USCIS need to ponder about. Should process an AP per minute :)

All my SR were "completed". Yet, I still have no card. My expedition was not denied or approved: it was going to be routed for expedited processing half month ago. And now it is still under review at an officer's desk, and I cannot further expedite the case...

Today the officer on the phone told me to go to an infopass...

Well, its good that they were completed. I have no idea why no one has read mine. They have just been completely ignored.
I even contacted USCIS, begging for answers as my husband is deploying soon but no one seems to care.
I contacted our congressman two weeks ago, but I haven't heard from them either.
It sucks that you haven't got the card yet, I hope it will be with you soon.

Sooooo sorry to hear that. Maybe there is an element of luck even when you call USCIS.

I think my previous SR was completed because I made an special SR through a supervisor. I told him that my job offer was at real risk and the employer has been waiting for 1.5 months. He raised a special SR which requires NBC to reply in 2 days. Today NBC did complete this special SR and in the meantime, marked my previous SR completed. (He might have called NBC, but no one answered him, therefore, the special SR.)

I have talked to a few supervisors before and after the one above. He is the nicest one. Others just told me to wait. (Don't remember his name, otherwise, I would request to talk to him in the future!)
