BTW I read in another area of the forum that the manager and a couple of the CSC adjucators had quit...it sure does not look like we are moving anywhere for awhile...

Here it is... last week was nothing certainly to get excited about...

Case Status

UGH!!!! There are still November folks without an NOA2???? Not very encouraging for this March filer. I look at the January and February filers thread everyday. I'm standing in ya'lls corners hoping for speedy (or eventual at the very least) approvals for everyone. I couldn't do this without VJ. Good luck to everyone and I hope this is ya'lls week!

Yup, jlcross and Jim&Gemz (whose NOA1 date is 11/1/06). That's why the VJ average processing times really can't be relied upon.

There must have been a few approvals. My adjudication date dropped by 4 days overnight. !!!!!

Apparently four so far and they are all late January NOA1's, which is encouraging because recently we heard nothing out of CSC until late in the week....

I don't mean to make anyone feel bad, but the posting from 4/22 is not very encouraging at all. The average number of days to NOA2 is still not rising that much when you look at the last couple month or even perhaps the first half of this month. But look down the list of January filers and see that there is quite a large block at 90+ days. This will push back everyone unfortunately. I'm a little disappointed that they hit a real hang up in the weeks before we would have gotten approved, but there's not a lot we can do about it but wait. Hopefully for those filing now, they can "catch up" and get back to a 78-80 day approval time as they were doing in the past months for many.

True, for the majority of approval NOA2s issued for January NOA1s, the waiting time is up only a few days. But for January NOA1s, there was a sudden drop-off of NOA2s the second and third week of April. When these January NOA1s still waiting receive their NOA2s, the average number of days waiting will go up about ten days to two weeks.

I talked to a USCIS customer service rep yesterday about the lag in issuing NOA2 approvals. He said there was an increase in visa applications that added about two weeks to the backlog. He was not specific regarding the type of visas contributing to the increase in the backlog. Also, he gave no more information.
