RFE is bank statement really needed?

I see.

I started printing and making copies of banking statement. Those in the past transactions, we will go to bank and ask to be printed.

Do I need to write down what kind of transaction are made such as unilities, phone bill and rent? I am asking since some of descriptions

on statement doesn't tell exactly what they are. I have to figure out.

Also, USCIS wants to see household expenses, dose this mean bill payments?  I have my own bank account also but there is no

bill payment made from my account. I just withdraw and pay cash at the grocery stores. When I had jobs, I used to transfer some money to my husband's account to help pay bills. It shows on my hubby's bank statement, so I hope it will help to show USCIS.

Good morning,

I am trying to gather paperworks to present to USCIS as they requested more evidence.

I know having joint account in bank can be very important proof that our marrige is in good shape.

However, if we print out statement from the time I joined my husband's account, the amount of

papers needed will be huge! I don't really want to print out everything.

Requirement for RFE is "Copies of bank statement that reflect joint/savings and /or checking

accounts to include the transaction pages for each bank statement period".

You think will it be ok not to provide banking information, but we will provide joint tax return

transcrips and copies of lease of apartments we lived in the past?

I can probably ask bank a document stating my name is on my husband's account. But

USCIS may not see as a proof.

I would provide those if they requested for the statement. This will save you time eventually and stressed. One thing we did, we bought a printer to ensure we don't spend too much for print outs. We provided almost pounds of paperwork. They keep those and you will see them again on your Naturalization interview. So just to be safe, provide as many as you can just to prevent the hassle of delaying your petition.

If on the statements doesnt say for Utility bills then you have to make a letter explaining those transactions, if you have the statement of the utility bills to back up then its better. I would suggest to ask your hubby's bank statements that shows you transfer money to your hubby's account to help paying the bills and explain in writing the transaction.

Agreed, bottom line here is that, we have to provide tons of paperwork to prove to them that the marriage is legit and the more evidences the better.

Whatever is unclear in those statements, write down details or clarification on a separate piece of paper, with a set of bulleted points for each statement. USCIS doesn't like spending too much time searching, so better to provide details.

Thanks for the useful info:DMuch appreciated.

Sorry for asking another question but it is stuck in my head.

Did you provide one banking information only?   I am preparing docs for my husband's account as my husband's account

is always active paying all of bills.   He is in my bank account also but shows little activities as I don't pay bills from my account. I don't remember when he was added to my account, lol..

Will it be ok to provide my husband's banking info only??

Print them all.

You can save on a flash drive and print somewhere else if you'd like. FedEx will give a discounted price for high numbers of pages. We just bought out own printer.

Either way, the time and money you spend now will be worth it when your petition is approved!

Hi again, please let me revise the question.

Those who have joint bank accounts, and names are added to each other's account.

Did you provid banking info of  spouse's only? or yours only?

Why in the world are you reluctant to print ALL BANK STATEMENTS?  Just print them all.  You are talking about what 10 or 20 bucks?  You really wanna take a chance and only submit "some" of your proof then go ahead.  Everyone here has told you over and over to print them all but you fail to heed our advice.  I am out on this thread.  You will not listen, I have no idea why?

There should be NO CONFUSION here.  In your initial post you said

Requirement for RFE is "Copies of bank statement that reflect joint/savings and /or checking

accounts to include the transaction pages for each bank statement period".

Why don't you give them what they want?

My guess, based on what I have read so far is they again submit insufficient documentation to save 20 bucks on copies and get denied.  My head is ready to explode!
