well thank god we had a legal gun owner there to stop him

to stop him? this line of thinking is crazy to me. the shooter ultimately killed himself. yeah, some locals followed him and shot at him. but, the damage was already done.

I somehow can't reconcile being thankful that 26 people were victims of gun violence, in church, on a Sunday morning, in a small town in Texas.

The guy obviously did the best he could since the disaster already took place before he chased him. He might have prevented more deaths, but we will possibly never find out. So, no he didn't stop him despite his efforts.

BTW

Under Section 46.035(b)(6) of the Texas Penal Code, an LTC holder commits a Class A misdemeanor if they intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly carry a handgun either concealed or open on the premises of a church, synagogue, or other established place of religious worship.  “Premises” is narrowly defined to only include “a building or a portion of a building, according to Section 46.035(f)(3) of the Texas Penal Code.  Additionally, public driveways, private driveways, streets, sidewalks, walkways, parking lots, parking garages, or any other parking areas are not included in the definition of “premises.”

An assault rifle would be a title II classification. Very hard to get. This person did not have an assault rifle FYI.

I think most of us have given up trying to explain these things to the MDL, remember this is all about feelings and that they are black.

Truck in Mogadishu was 270 and counting. Never mind all the others.

More about 56 dead in October and 27 in November  combined with not knowing where the next massacre will happen.

hopeful there's a good guy with a gun present at the next one, god willing. if not, well guess that's what we get for not advocating cc at all times, in all places, for all 'good guys'.

Interesting, you would think if concealed carry is allowed on colleges and university campuses it would be allowed on religious places as well.

So if you break your pinkie and you are in pain, and I break my hand your broken pinkie doesn't matter?

Something like that?
