I contacted ombudsman 2 weeks ago and received an email a few days ago saying that they can't do anything as I am still within processing times 😱. I don't know when you applied but basically if you are under the 5 months mark, your are still "within processing times", and they wont do anything for you. I am waiting to be outside of processing time next week to email them again.

I am 157 days after they received my case but I had a RFIE in december, so technically I am over processing time, but if you start counting on the day I received my RFIE I still have to wait a month a a half!!!

what info you wrote to your ombudsman in your email? Im thinking of writing them regardless.

I wrote about my situation, my timeline and the 2 SR that I raised and were left unanswered. Try it you never know, but you might be told to wait 😞

Yes. My PD is November 6. I have not heard anything at all. I went to an infopass appointment on Wednesday and spoke to an officer. He said my case was assigned to someone and they had been working on my case since February 25. Not sure why it takes THAT long to work on a case, but he said give it like three more weeks. But at this point I do now expect anything, even within these three weeks. I have two unanswered case inquiries too.

150 days today, USCIS processing times shows today Nov 17 which is my NOA date. Could never even imagine this process may take such a long time. Seeing EAD timelines here on VJ seems like they mostly work on cases from summer '17 or Dec'18...  I won't ever understand their system.

I have been waiting for my EAD for 160 days today. Initiated 2 SRs and it just says a generic, "Your case is currently being review and you should hear within 60 days". I have also reached out to the congresswoman and Ombudsman for help. Waiting for their response. And, have a Infopass appointment scheduled for 4/20. My I-485 status was changed to "Your case is ready to be scheduled for employment based interview" on 3/27 but I've read on this forum that this doesn't mean anything. The wait from when the status changes to 'ready for interview' to the actual interview could be months and months.

The whole application process has been grueling to say the least. Our original PD was 12/23/2016 but our initial application got denied due to a stupid mistake from our immigration lawyer. It took us a full 8 months to be able to refile and now, here we are.

God, I am desperate, the apps just told me that a RFE have been sent today 😩

I haven't gotten RFE yet but I expect it. Congressman's office told me if I got RFE then it will delay processing 4 - 6 weeks... :(  Not sure what to believe anymore
