I just called USCIS and they told me to wait another 8 days until it's been 30 days after my first request and no answer since...

I received a notice from my local field office that I'm required to complete the original I-693 form and submit back to them. As a K1 adjuster with a completed medical exam within one year of filing the AOS, I thought they would have my K1 med exam on file, but looks like I was wrong and need to see a CS (either they will transcribe my vaccine records or require another medical done).

In retrospect, I did not include the DS3025 in my initial AOS filing - which may or may not have avoided this step

Just another update... just to keep everyone feeling good. November 3 AOS filer. Wife's interview is scheduled for April 19 in the AM here in Oregon. Oh my are we a bit anxious. I would say nervous but my lovely wife is a wizard of getting all our documents packaged up and ready to go. Just anxious to get the next phase done and happy with the life we have. God bless all of you.

Going over 4 Months now for AP and EAD......

says between 2.5 to 5 months normally.   Has everyone else been closer to 5 months?

lol I'm going to 5 months next week and counting. Applied Nov 6.

I had a RFIE on Dec 6th.

first SR on march 5th.

I've been reading on other forums that there's people from AUGUST than haven't had their EAD yet, so...people started contacting their obdusman and congressperson so they can intercept on their behalf. I will probably do it after I will raise my second SR (which is most likely to happen...I dont think anything is gonna resolve within a week).

good luck to everyone.

HELLO FELLOW NOVEMBER FILERS FOR AOS, EAD and AP.

Just want to share my experience with the filing of my AOS, EAD and AP...and it will be long :D

Sent Package: Nov. 21, 2017

After 1 wk , we received a text message from USCIS that they received our Package, then 3 days after that, payment was deducted from hubby's bank.

NOA for I-485(aos) : December 8, 2017

NOA for I-765(ead) and I-131(ap): December 4, 2017

We received 3 USCIS letter in the mailbox on December 26, 2017 containing the NOA's of my application (AOS, EAD and AP). On the NOA of AOS, attached was my appointment for biometrics with assigned date, January 3, 2018, with address and time. The day came and we went to the address to have my biometrics. We arrived there early, but nevertheless they allowed us to go in..instead of the 10am appointment we went in at around 9am. On the entrance a security personnel checked the letter of appointment and my passport. Filled up some papers like name, age, address, etc. But the thing is, on the letter of appointment, my last name was change into my husband's last name already, and on my passport it still hold my maiden name. That won't be a problem if we only have with us our marriage license (so stupid of us to forget) I thought for a sec we were screwed...So i told them if its possible to  get it at home (which is miles away) or to check in our car if its there (hopefully)... :D ...but lo and behold he considered my case and let me through the examination/evaluation/inspection panel to forward for the biometrics. The biometrics was smooth and easy, by 30-40 mins it was done.

And my waiting in vain started.

Every day I checked my status online, on USCIS site and every single time, I prayed for a progress. After January ended, my case for I-485(AOS), was changed from CASE WAS RECEIVED to READY FOR INTERVIEW; my EAD and AP still on CASE WAS RECEIVED. I really wanted to have my EAD, as staying home gets really boring and I wanted to help my husband with the bills. The waiting gets really exhausting and at times I lose hope for it. Granting the fact that its 90 days processing time for EADs, I patiently waited. In the meantime, I keep myself busy searching and reading online about EAD experiences, the processing time for EAD, things like that.

Visa Journey has been a big hep for me, since they analyze your case and give you dates when to contact the USCIS if my case gets really stagnant or far beyond the expected date for a decision (approval or denial). So, 90 days went by and still no progress on my case...I noticed that Visa Journey is constantly updating and changing the date of my expected EAD decision, I thought maybe its basing the statistics from other VisaJourney folks experiences. So, on the 91st day we called the USCIS and inquired about my case, why its taking so long things like that. So what they did was they just made a report about my case and pretty much told me to wait for another month for the decision, and if still no progress, we should consider giving a call to them again. And thats it..the waiting continues.....

Then on the 29th of March, 8 in the morning, my husband's informed mail delivery (USPS) sent an email on those letters due for delivery, and one of the scanned letters was from the USCIS! Its been 123 days from my NOA (December 4, 2017). I thought I was one of the unlucky few who waited their EAD's for more than 6 months. God is good and He will always be by your side. After a 2 days, I received my COMBO CARD (EAD+AP) and SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER :)

BTW, my online case status is still at CASE WAS RECEIVED :D

Thank you for reading. Keep the faith. It will come to you. Believe :)

Nothing, I called after 15 working days because I haven’t had any response (it was like 18 calendar days) and they told me to wait the full 30 days to get an answer. In 5 days it will be 30 calendar days and I’m pretty sure I will have to raise a second SR.
