For my interview in the Buffalo office, we arrived 10 mins early, and were called right on time at 2:30 pm.

We started joking with the interviewer right away. He led us to his office and we were out in less than 10 mins.

He first swore us in, and then he started going through our application form and confirming both of our DOB,  both of our SSN, and my parents DOBs.  Then he asked a few of the yes/no questions from the form as well.  Saw that we got married on Nov 1, asked where we got married and who attended. Then asked us how we met. THATS ALL.

He then stated that he spent a half hour reviewing our file (which is like a beige folder with my A# on it and looked pretty chunky) before he interviewed us and that since we are applying with K1, we've  done all the hard work already and my green card is approved and I should have it within 2 weeks time.

He literally did not want to see anything I brought on the interview notice of documents to bring with us , and only looked at the wedding photos after I basically urged him to..saying "you really dont want to see anything?!" lol.

He basically told us that he has been doing his job for 30+ years and knows how to tell a truthful relationship and all the hard work has already been done in this process so keep all the documents we gathered for when we apply to remove conditions from my green card.

Thats all :D

No update of status on case tracker since interview.

I'm praying once my husband and I have an interview it goes that smoothly! That's kind of how the interview for his k1 visa went we were just talking about this the other day. The interview for his visa I went out to the Dominican Republic to do it with him (even though they say is not required) and I read online they basically know as soon as u show up if they're going to approve u or not. so we noticed a pattern as to the ratio of people being approved which windows they were being called to while the other windows seemed to be dedicated to the files that were not getting approved.  Well once they called us up to one of the windows with a good record (but we were still nervous) all they did was ask like 5 questions  ( how did we meet have I met his family what are their names things like that) they asked me a question about a previous marriage of mine (my Husband thought as soon as they asked about this that meant they were going to deny him so he started packing up everything) then before I could even finish answering the guy asked to see the photos we brought, went through them really fast then approved him.  We were. So happy we walked away and my husband had to get a drink of water to calm down after he took a sip he looked me dead in my eyes and said "but who the f*** is miguel?"  And i was confused for 2 seconds then i was like OMG!!! I suddenly realized, The interviewer had asked me the names of his siblings and in my nervousness I accidently renamed his brother MANUEL into MIGUEL we started laughing so hard after my husband asked me that lol we almost started crying lol so I'm hoping this next interview is simple like that

Ah I see. I should not have been that nitpicky. I am done with my interview and it was approved. :) I was so nervous but the interview went smoothly. I have posted my experience couple of posts before yours. On a separate note, informed delivery says a package from USCIS Lees Summit would be delivered to me on 22nd. That  is most likely my green card. :)

My husband received his green card for permanent residency today out of the blue, without any updates or notifications from USCIS.  It arrived via Priority USPS mail (and therefore did not show up on the USPS Informed Delivery email because I'd have had to have logged into my USPS ID account to view packages, which I did not do).  The envelope arrived from Lee's Summit, MO.  Our Case Status is still dated November 27!!!  No interview, no notification of interview being waived, no texts, no emails.

So, just because you haven't heard anything, doesn't mean that's a bad thing.  Keep your eyes on the mail!

what was the last status on the case when you check online?

ok, same with me. at least that's what i see on the main uscis website. not sure if helpful to you now but at the oct filers group somebody mentioned creating an account at the new myuscis website https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/. that one seems to be much more updated than the main one. maybe for you on the new myuscis site will say that your interview has been waived. it would be great to know what it says if you decide to check it out.

I created an account, but the status is the same. "Ready for interview to be scheduled" as of 1/10/18.

No other update. I guess it all depends on the office location on how often they update status of applications online.

Some seem to be better than others. Same for processing time. Which personally it is a bit frustrating but also understandable. Some offices may have less applications and or may work more efficiently than others....
