Thanks a lot. I have already received my EAD/AP last month and the confirmation letter for them. I hope this is the interview letter. Need to wait till Thursday to know for sure. The wait and anticipation would drive me crazy.

My case just got updated and interview is scheduled on March 15, so that letter is definitely the interview notice.

I'm in the same boat as you unfortunately. My PD is Nov 8th, i haven't received any updates since my biometric too. Nothing has been updated online. I have raised SRs too, and it's just frustrating. Especially because people are already doing thier interviews and getting done with it, and i still dont even have any updates.

I feel you.  My wife needs both.  She wants to work.   Also she had to go back and see an ill family member so she needs that AP as well to come back and work.

My wife got her ead and ap card a few weeks ago. Had our interview yesterday. Only one question to my wife, my birthday. Other than that we just went over the application and corrected anything that the interviewer said was not filled in correctly.

She left the country without AP?

Aren't you worried about coming back?

I mean they can see if she left the country before approval of AP... I think.

She will be able to re-enter as long as she has the AP.   I will need to physically deliver it to her.   They could have sent it to The Minsk embassy but we had planned on me joining her and bringing it anyway.

We have checked this about 500 times.

Where is the doc that states that? Can you share? The other question I have, how can you be so sure that you will get her AP any time soon?

Here is what USCIS Site says;

https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-processes-and-procedures/travel-documents/emergency-travel

"Travel outside of the United States may have severe consequences if you are in the process of adjusting your status (applying for a green card). In general, if you are seeking immigrant status (a green card) and depart the United States without the appropriate documentation (i.e. advance parole) you may be inadmissible to the United States upon return, or even if admitted, you may be found to have abandoned your application."

As long as we filed for the AP we are ok.   Had we waited to file until after she left then yes this would apply.  I am out working so I will have to dig it up later.

Plus our friends did this exact same thing.

As for my concern she will or anytime soon.    She went back because two family members are close to dying.   This was the most cost effective time because she would be just waiting for her EAD as well.   Once we get AP and EAD I will go over there and see her family then come back together.   If by some chance we have any problems  then we will figure it out.

I think you got us confused :)  My wife is in the US now with me, we had our interview at the local DHS yesterday.  She has had her AP and EAD since January but did not want to travel until after the interview.

I did though once have to deal with someone who left the country without checking if their AP was expired.  I had to spend some time at the INS but they were let back in on a humanitarian parole with a deferred inspection, so they had to go to the INS and check in there.  Lost priority date, had to refile all the paperwork, pay all the fees again etc.  Not fun but not impossible.  Picture attached in case anyone wonders, back in 2000.
