Mainly updated this info as other people are frustrated since they aren't getting any updates. Apparently, you might never get updates on the status.

If you submitted ead application without ssn, are they going to provide you with ssn card and number right? And are they going to send interview schedule like the biometrics sched letter if your case is ready for interview?

Priority date is the day when your documents get delivered to the USCIS. It should be listed on your NOA (I-797) when you get it in mail.

We filed November 13, package was received November 20, NOA November 28, Biometric December 20, and no update since.

I received a similar USPS informed delivery scanned image of mail today (from Lee's Summit). Did your case status change online before or after receiving this letter? Unfortunately we both travel for work and the earliest we would be able to get the letter is Thursday. Online case status for 485 has not changed since November (when I filed). It is going to be a long week for me knowing there is a letter in the mailbox with some news.

Long time lurker here. I've had a lot of panicked moments calmed by your posts...so thank you!

 

Just wanted to give my experience with the whole process so far. I applied for AOS, AP and EAD on November 24th with a notice date of Nov 28th. Since then I have had no communications from USCIS, no biometrics, nothing. I have put in 2 service requests and have had no answers, so tomorrow I'm off for an infopass appointment (booked 2 weeks ago)to try and sort out my biometrics. Surprise, surprise when i got my mail on Saturday to say they have approved my EAD and AP (as of 02/02/18). I have had no emails, no texts and the online system hasn't been updated from 'Case received'. Just posting to give anyone panicking a little glimmer of hope.

Hi! Yeah, apparently it is quite common to not have any online updates. This is frustrating.

But congrats! I applied on Nov 15th and nothing to this day. I have raised a SR through the phone and nothing yet.

So you got EAD/AP without biometrics? I was told that biometrics needed to be done before EAD but that's obviously not the case (I was freaking out because it took us a bit longer than others to get our appointment). Congrats!!

That's why I was freaking out too. I'm due to fly back to the UK next month for my sister's wedding. I haven't received the card though so I'm not counting my chickens just yet. Hoping that my infopass appointment tomorrow will iron out all the issues.

I didn't receive any update on the case status online. The one I received initially was the notice for interview. Then, on Saturday (Feb 10) I received the notice for approval of EAD (didn't bother with AP). Our card will be received today as that was also on the informed delivery. If you see a package on informed delivery then it should be EAD/AP, if not then I would imagine it is interview notification. At least that was the case in my situation (Interview notification only letter was sent; EAD letter and package sent simultaneously). Good luck!

Thanks a lot. I have already received my EAD/AP last month and the confirmation letter for them. I hope this is the interview letter. Need to wait till Thursday to know for sure. The wait and anticipation would drive me crazy.

I believe that USCIS just decides some rules on the spot. I had put in Expedited Request for my EAD shortly after I applied and received e-mail saying that it could not be completed because they did not have my biometrics. You never know...

Ugh!  That's frustrating!  You're right... you never know with this stuff!  Good luck!
