Just to pass on the good deals, if your currenly doing the K-1 and eventually call your finacee and you buy many phone cards, here is a good website that give excellent rates to counrties around the world. All you need is an email, credit card. No frauds, no jokes. I use it all the time to call to mexico, which is 2 cents a minute for me, for others, depending which country you call to.

they will call you to verify that the credit card is yours and thats it. So incase of an emergency late at night and the stores are closed, this site will help you like you wont believe. Good luck to all K-1 and K-3's!

Onofre,

Do you get that super duper rate when calling cell phones or only landlines?

I currently am charged 5 cents a minute with T-Mobile's discount dialing to Mexico, but they'e finally caught on to Mexico's el quien llama paga thing, and will be raising the rates.

hi there,

the rates that i get are awesome. I call Michoacan but to a landline because if you use that same card to a cell phone your minutes get wasted so quickly. But, there are also phonecards that you can buy to call a cell phone but I rather take advantage to a landline on the weekends. 3 1/2hrs for $5

Speaking of T-mobile, I have Verizon, I have the "North America's Choice", which is 950 Peek min. and 1000 nights and weekends. In other words I dont get charged by the minute! it only deducts the minutes that I use, so I can call a landline or in my case, her cell phone, and its just like a normal call. So thats a really good price, ($59.99) instead of 5 cents per minute. Maybe you can try it out when your contract is up. But since I use all of my 1000min, thats why I use the cards on the weekends so I wont go over my 1000min! lol

I don't do phone cards anymore .. we do voice.yahoo.com and she calls me for free from philippines and I call her for $.01 per minute ..

The best phone card that I found in the past is mobilecaller.com .. good rates, no pin to enter, and simply add money online.
