Congratulations on your wedding and good luck on your journey.

I checked 'Other' and put 'Petition for Alien Relative' as it is being submitted in connection with the I-130.

When we apply for the IR-1 / CR-1, which box do we check on the G-325A?

Naturalization?

Status as Permanent Resident?

Other (Specify)?

madu11,

We chose 'Status as Permanent Resident'

Because this form wasn't originally designed for the CR-1/IR-1 process, the options are confusing.

It really doesn't matter which of the methods you choose given in this thread, any will do.

For IR-1/CR-1's G-325A:

Petitioner can check "Other" and write "Petitioner of wife's/husband's I-130

Beneficiary can check "Status as Permanent Resident."

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

simple_male,

THIS FORM IS SUBMITTED IN CONNECTION WITH APPLICATION FOR:

"Petitioner of wife's/husband's I-130" ?

This makes no sense. Let's try not to confuse the OP.

By all means, I don't intend to confuse anyone. I checked "Other" and wrote "Petitioner of My Wife's I-130." since, my wife is the beneficiary.

madu,

First off, recognize that when one applies for an IR1/CR1 immigrant visa G-325A is not part of the application package.

With that out of the way, why are you filling out the G-325A? It's not an application or petition for anything, it's a required supporting document for something else. What is that something else? (Hint - read aussiewench's post.)

simple_male,

Why so complicated? (We might have to change your nick.)

Besides, it's your petition - you are the person who is doing the petitioning, you are the petitioner.

Dear Yodrak,

I appreciate all your answers. And you may not agree with my answer, but let's not get too personal. You suggested that you should change my nick. Hope you were joking! Cheers! I have met lot of wonderful people here.
