Hi all,

I'd like to provide an update on my interview on 4/30. We were scheduled at 9:30. We arrived at the security 45 minutes in advance. The security line was long and it took 30 minutes for us to get checked in. Then we waited in the seating area for another 30 minutes before the officer called us in.  The interview was surprisingly smooth. I think the IO had reviewed all the documents we submitted carefully. We went through the entire form of I-485, checking off each of the YES/NO questions. Then she began to request for evidence of marriage directly. We prepared:

-joint bank account

-lease

-joint car loan

-proof of beneficiary of insurance plan

-authorized credit card user

-photos

-Christmas cards with our photos that we sent out to our friends in the past

Followed that, she asked a few questions such as where we met and how we got married and moved here, but at that moment I had the feeling she already prepared to approve me as she didn't go far in any of them.

In the end, she collected copies of the documents I received after filing of I-485: combo card, EAD and AP approval notice, my driver's license. She didn't ask anything for SSN.

Before we leave, she mentioned she would approve my case after a review in the afternoon. At 5 oclock sharp, I received the email notice that my card is being produced.

Hope this is helpful and good luck to everyone. My feeling from the interview is that the IO's are experienced enough that they can establish their opinion as they talk to you and your spouse, so don't worry if you lack a joint car loan or mortgage certificate.

Of course will do. Actually USCIS released a news this week saying that they will phase in signature delivery system for delivering green cards. Wanna guess how many were lost in the past?....Pray for mine arriving safely! Congrats yours finally arrived.

I know I read about this.  I had to chase my card today from one post office to another and it was delivered to my house a day earlier.  It was supposed to arrive tomorrow.  So I left work and started chasing the mail truck to sign for my package before the send it back again for the second time!!

My spouse and I concurrently applied for my I-485 and I-130. Today, my case status on the USCIS website indicated that my spouse and myself are scheduled for the interview. However, the I-130 petition states that it's still in the process. Does that sound normal? Thanks for your insights.

I didn't realize about this thread <_< I've been participating in the forum of people adjusting from K1 visa...oh well.

I'm adjusting from B2 visa, applied in November, and so far no news about EAD or AP. I made 2 SR, made an inquiry with the ombudsman three weeks ago and nothing.

Anyone still in the same situation? in the other forum there is people still waiting that long, but they just received their RFE while I received the RFE early on December, does anyone know what it means?

many thanks.

over +190 days waiting for EAD! 3 service requests later and contacted Ombudsman a month ago and nothing! what is going on?

I’m on day 200 waiting for EAD/AP. After 2 service requests I received a letter 1-2 months later saying “you will hear something soon”. Not sure what “soon” is to them, cause it has now been 3 weeks since I received that letter. I see people that applied long AFTER me, receiving their EAD as early as February/March, so I’m worried something is wrong. But I guess they are working on my case as I received that letter, but I’m a little puzzled why it has taken so long when it says normal processing is 2-3 months, and I have almost waited 7 months (and that is just for the EAD!!)
