J_jay how long does it take for SR to be assigned?? Put one on March 6th and still not assigned. Any ideas please?

I put two SR (1st: 01/31, 2nd: 02/15) that are still "not assigned for processing"

Congrats everybody that has received theirs! We are still waiting, but I'm not giving up hope. I sent the e-request for an update so I hope to hear something soon.

Tomorrow I may try to contact our Congressman. Does anyone have any tips for that? Do I call, or try an email?

Also, i've seen a lot of people post that they received their card (s) and the case status never changed online. Is that pretty typical?

Until then I'll just be checking the mailbox everyday :/

And guys please, do we need a job offer to put in SR through Congressman? It's really frustrating not to be able to work or support family for so long. We need your suggestions on what worked for you.

Congrats again to @lms and the others who've received theirs! We will join you too shortly😁

As said, you can only expedite with a job offer. But after 75 days you can put in a SR - contact Sen Schumer's office or Rep Espellaits office for help in your case!

My SSN Card was already shipped (I marked to send it automatically on the forms - apparently it works ;)), but they told me my SSN at the Social Security office which is great.

I'm filing from LA too (PD is 08/08). I got an RFIE on Feb 1 and our response was delivered this past Thurs. No online status update and who knows how long it'll take for further action from them? The RFIE was for our I-864 (they wanted more recent pay documentation from my husband and we had to get a joint sponsor). I don't have my combo card yet either. ☹

That sucks, sorry to hear.  Is there a timeframe where you are then safe from RFE/RFIEs?  Meaning if you get your combo card, would you be then safe that they have everything?

Technically there's no safe zone as they state in the RFIE/RFE letters that they can send one at any time. I thought there was a safe zone after 2 months after biometrics but I and @Hamilton (another Aug filer) got them within a day of each other six months after filing. But after receiving the combo card, I think you're generally safe. However, some people get issued RFE's during the interview for whatever but I think this is rare and only happens if you tell the IO about something and the IO decides they want documentation of whatever was brought up.

Does anyone know what happens if you need to change your address? Does this significantly delay everything? We have to move the first week of April and I feel like we are so close to hearing news about the EAD.. been waiting 115+ days... Should we change the address now? or wait til the first week of April?

You should file AR-11 and depending on how far you are moving from your current address your local office would change. At my interview I told them that we would be moving before I am eligible for removal of condition. I was told that your file would be transferred to a different local office and you will have to go there for your removal of condition. Now coming to your current situation, yes there could be a delay as they will have to transfer your file to a different office if the move is either out of state or your local office is not servicing the zip code that you would be moving to.

I received my combo card in the mail today.  USCIS didn't update my case file online at all and I had no idea that I was approved on the 20th, same as them receiving my file in the first place -- they never sent a letter letting me know they got my info.  My priority date was November 30th.   Definitely feeling relieved.  Excited to work and live with ease!

Dear lord.  You'd think the filing fee would assure a baseline level of competency.  Is it that hard to click a button?  Here's to hoping they let us know when our interview dates are. :jest:
