Still nothing. Put in a request to expedite via Congressman which has been assigned to an officer since 16/2 and it has been over 100 days since AOS was received. Frustrating to say the least...plus starting to losing money now....:(

What is the number you called? Also, Did you inquire about i485 or the EAD/AP, or both?

Did anyone try this form? https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayONPTForm.do?sroPageType=onpt

Feel like it's useless, but not sure if anyone tried it yet for things outside of normal processing time.

Thanks.

I tried this form but a day after submission my EAD/AP got approved, and I forgot about it.

Then about a week or two after I received my combo card, I got an email as well as a response letter from NBC saying that they cannot complete my request due to the pending background check on my case, and told me to wait for another 30-60 days....this was after I got the physical approval letters and card IN HAND.........

It won't hurt to submit one but don't put much hope in it I'd say..........

Does anyone have any advice on filing taxes?

I want to file our taxes jointly, however, i'm not sure I can without the EAD/SSN. Does anyone know if it's necessary to have that?

The deadline for taxes is April 15th, just hoping this EAD comes before then

I did mine this week with my husband. They only ask for your name. I didn’t have to provide my SSN. We used TurboTax!

I’m a January filer but our plan is to file jointly, we called to the IRS in January to ask about this and the guy we talked to told us that we should file for a tax extension (before April 15th, we’ll be doing it this month) and then we can file our taxes later on when I get my SSN.

There’s another way, requesting a TIN number but he said that since I already requested a SSN this was the way to go plus  I wouldn’t be assigned a TIN number since there’s a request pending for me.

I’m just lurking a little bit, seeing how good are you guys doing, but I definitely can’t keep my hopes up on getting my EAD soon, huh? Lol.
