I was just able to get my case number from NVC and I was wondering if I could go ahead and book my appointment with Knightsbridge even though I am not in receipt of my Packet 3 yet?

Anyone done this yet?

If you have a case number you can, but,...

Once they have completed your medical in about 4 working days they will courier the results to the embassy. It might be better to wait until the embassy have you in their system before they receive your medi results. Packet 3 will come through relatively quickly and you can book your medical before you finish completing your forms and returning them.

I agree. Wait until you receive P3.

I agree too... it's not as though there's a long wait for medicals or anything (I was offered an appointment the morning after I called) - they'll give you pretty much any time/date you want, so there's no point booking it before you receive Packet 3. I really don't think you'd save any time (which would presumably be the idea behind booking the medical ASAP) by doing that... just call them and book it when you receive Packet 3 - you can still send the forms straight back as soon as you get them to make things go as fast as possible! :)

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

I'm bumping up this slightly older thread and tacking an extra question on the end because I'm trying to get re-up-to-speed on things now that we're at NVC and nearly to London. (and might be helpful for the others coming down the pipeline)

Extra question: is there a form in packet 3 to take to the medical? no, right? they have it there, you just need to show up with your state dept case number, right?

thanks all!
