The USCIS representative gave me false information. My case is not even approved. That was devastating to hear. I wish I would have taken down her Agent ID number. :(

According to Visa Journey timelines they are proccesing petitions from May so if you filled petition in September it wont be aproved in 2017 within regular proccesing times. I would suggest you to create your timeline - then it will be easier to track your case. Also create an account at USCIS website - then add your petition case number and subscribe for email notofications. When there will be any processing action on your case - you will get instant notification.

Check processing times here on VJ - you won't have to call them each month to check what cases they are processing right now. GL!

We sent K-1 petition including that extra form for email notifications - it was my fiance email addres.

But when I created an account at USCIS website I just added my case number and my own email for notifications.

Thats how I got an email about my case being processed yesterday - my fiance got nothing. We are waiting for letter with NOA2 right now.

And if someone wants to keep checking the case status constantly its just so much easier to log into the website then keep calling them ;)
Thats why im suggesting that to the OP

Hello. I filed my petition on April 17th. I’m new to this so I don’t know how to track the processing time that’s why I always call. But they’ve are not helpful or updated. My case is in the California office

The USCIS website is not updated at all. It’s bern telling me the same status for months. It tells me that the post office returned returned my documents ( which was the receipt) I’ve had my receipt since May smh

Very much YES ^^^^^^^

My USCIS case status online still says "received". It hasn't changed since February 2nd. My fiance picked up his passport (with visa) and packet yesterday.

I received the NOA2 by snail mail also.

Do you have your number from the NOA1?  If you filed in April you may be approved.  I'm having trouble following this.  What type of Visa did you apply for?  It isn't in your timeline.

They received my papers on April 17th. Every time I call them they tell me my case is still pending. They also tell me what the website says which is I haven’t received my receipt so on November 5th they will destroy my documents. Well as soon as I got that notice back in May I immediately called USCIS and they mailed my receipt to me. Now two days ago I called them and a rep told me my case was approved on September 25th. I don’t have any papers saying I was approved so she’s put in a service request to have my “approval letter” sent to me. I called back the very next day to ask the question I’m ask here which is what is the next step after I’m approved and three different reps on separate phone calls (because I kept hanging up on them) told me my case has not been approved and they don’t know where I got my information from. Talk about a major heartache 😢
