Everyday I read the post on here and I say a prayer of thanks for those that get approved and those that are still waiting...no one knows what this feels like but us.

This morning at 6:35 am I got an email, we have taken action on your account...I was so nervous I immediately said a prayer...I checked and found that my petition was approved yesterday June 27th...204 days...PD Dec. 5th 2017 Potomac...No transfer, no RFE's...

This was such a wonderful surprise...today is my daughter's 5th birthday! We have to trust the wait....it is not easy but it so worth it seeing case approved...now on to the next step.

Thank you all for your post...I appreciate all the info shared on here.

Omg congrats everytime someone gets approved i feel closer to my noa2 coming aswell. I constantly check november and december forums. Im Potomac. I will keep hope and happy birthday.

Hi all, I am new to this forum, but have been (not so) patiently waiting on word from USCIS for 211 days. NOA1 is Nov 30, 2017 and our petition is with the Nebraska Service Center. It has been radio silence since NOA1, communication-wise, but the old website shows "last update" of 3/20/18. My husband and I both currently live overseas and I am 10 weeks pregnant. I know that pregnancy is not grounds for expediting a petition with USCIS, so I haven't bothered to call, but we are getting increasingly concerned that we won't get our visa before it's too late for me to travel. My questions are:

1) Does anyone know what the "last update" date means on the old site, or is it meaningless?

2) Has anyone had luck getting any information from USCIS when calling before their inquiry date has passed?

3) Has anyone had any luck with a congressional inquiry either moving their case along or getting them status information?

4) While I know USCIS doesn't consider pregnancy grounds for expediting the Form I-130 processing, I have read conflicting reports about NVC once your case arrives there. Has anyone experienced/heard/read about any success stories for expediting at that stage?

Wishing good luck and lots of approvals for all of you during this AGONIZING wait!

She can leave for the US when she has her passport in hand with the correct visa stamped.

1. Only check the new website the old one is not current

2. No, it's an utter waste of time

3. I sent a letter to our local congressman with a signed consent form and they wrote back straight away saying they would talk to the USCIS on my behalf, one week after that my case was approved. I dont know if that was coincidence but it wont hurt to contact them.

4. I have heard that you can expedite your case at the NVC stage however I don't know the qualifying criteria.

I hope this helps.

Is the new website usually current? I am outside the USA spending the summer with my wife, which means I have limited access to calling the center (since it is an 800#). We can call the international number but there is not a live agent available. My mail is being forwarded to my son until I get back at the end of July. Our PD is Nov 29, Nebraska, 212 days. So, we are thinking that we should receive news soon, if all goes well.

Is there any way to call USCIS in the USA from outside the country? (Dominican Republic). I'm thinking we'll end up having to speak with a 2 tier agent but aren't sure if that is possible.

Even if your I130 gets approved you still have around 3-4 months of NVC stage, then 1-2 month till interview, so I don't think you would be able to travel with that many months of pregnancy.
