Hey All,

After checking both the old and new case status sites.  They yet again are telling me two different things.

One saying that now today, June 8th, my case was transferred and another saying my case was just received.

After calling, I come to find out my letter was just sent out today and my case is at NBC (National Benefits Center). After speaking with them, they said it’s just case overload again.  But, we won’t know until I receive that letter.

My husband is in living in Egypt which was filled out correct on the first on forms. And I am a USC.

Lots of prayers needed.  Or any help and insight.

Did your husband overstay on a tourist visa or done anything that would trigger additional background checks ?

I hope everything runs smoothly for you ...

Keep us updated ...

@Bmc&Cah any new news about the NVC receive date ?

@Bmc&Cah any new news about the NVC receive date ?

My husband has never be in the US.  Back in August 2016 he was denied a visitor's visa for the reason he did not have enough ties to his country and worried he would overstay his visit.

Which, I was told the visitor visa denial would have no effect on this process.

My husband has no criminal record, as I have the police certificate from his country, and I also have no records as well.

So, I am very confused by this.

Two questions. Does USCIS send an email prior to the letter for the NOA2? Do they update the case tracker regularly? Our case is in Nebraska. PD: 11/29. Still waiting.

Hi!

USCIS no always are good with emails and updating and tracking regularly the cases and depends the website you use to track your case. For us the old USCIS website never worked during the first part of the process until the case was approve. On the on other hand, in the new website, we were able to see that the case was receive, approve and sent to NVC. At first, we receive a letter that the case was received and we never received an email regarding this until the case was approved. Then, when the case was sent to NVC was vice versa an email first then the letter.
