Thank you :) I am hoping and Praying we are approved soon! My PD is 11/24/17 but the NOA1 is 11/28. I get a feeling either June or July we will hear back soon,  Our case isn't complicated and I can't see adjudication taking more than 7 months.

You are welcome...... stay positive

Anybody have the list or link to what forms the government needs one it's sent to the NVC? I want to get started on those now. I'm a USC filing for my Canadian husband and daughter and we all live outside the US.

Visa journey predicted that we would hear back between May 21st and May 23rd. 7 months of waiting so far. I'm hoping this week is the week.

Hello, the gov has a great list of docs of what you need here:  https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/collect-and-submit-forms-and-documents-to-the-nvc/step-5-collect-supporting-documents.html

Also obviously the affidavit of support ( pay stubs , tax returns , proof of employment etc..) and the D2-60 ( I think that is the name of the form. Hopefully you hear soon, I am guessing that the estimate has a margin of error of about a month give or take from the range. Anyone else on here have experience with either of these two questions?

We are so happy to know that our case is on  way to NVC!

Have anyone have an idea how long NVC takes to send the "Welcome Letter".

Thanks!

Basically most timelines I searched here has NVC received of 3 weeks from NOA2 give or take a couple of days.

so don’t worry it’s close. I recommend calling them and asking if they received your case or not.

I wish you all the best

This is a detailed link from USCIS wiki containing all the steps in order and in full details. It is very useful

I'm a little confused. We receive our NOAA2 by mail (and not email)? Do we also receive a welcome letter from NVC afterwards with our case number with a list of documents that we will need to provide? I'm outside the USA spending the summer with my wife. My mail is being forwarded to my son until I get back. I wish there was another way to receive the NOAA2, but we are working with what we have. I'm sure that they do not update the case status page before sending out the NOAA2. Am I correct? Thanks for clearing this up.

You should receive and email that states we have taken an action on your case in a matter of days.

I got an email after they sent the actual mail by 2 days.

but NVC will take not less than 3 weeks for them to receive your case from USCIS.

If you received your NOA2 by regular mail you are great. For what I read in different forum no everyone has the same experiences with USCIS  emails. In our case the new USCIS websites is working great. Last Saturday we received an email that our case was sent to NVC. On your NOA2 letter should said to wait 30 days before contacting NVC to find out if the case was received. Once the case is received the waiting time for the welcome letter is between 6 to 8 weeks. Good luck!

I called... that was useless. She told me they were doing background checks on my petitions but then said that they were only working on August 2017 cases. I asked how they can be doing background checks on my case but only in August. And she said they're working as fast as they can and working on the cases in the order they came in.
