Our case is already at NVC since June 8. We were approved on May 22,18, sent to NVC on June 1, 18. About 10 days after approval and 7 days more to NVC received.

Once the case is send from USCIS can take up to 6 weeks to NVC to received. Then you start counting the 8 weeks as soon you know when your case was received at NVC. If your case is Pivot (electronic process) is faster to receive the case & invoice numbers.

Hi! Could you tell me about Pivot? How do I know my case is Pivot?

A Pivot case is the same as CEAC Consular Electronic Application Center

You can read more in this link below

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/after-petition-approved/begin-nat-visa-center/ceac-electronic-processing.html

Someone else wrote this information which is I am quoting

"A pivot case means that you will do the entire NVC process online, you won't have to mail anything in...you'll upload everything to the CEAC site.

you should get your case & invoice number soon. First you'll pay the IV & AOS fees. Then form ds260 will open up & you'll fill that out Online"

Hi! I also found this:

Email Processing required

If your NVC case number begins with one of the following prefixes:

  • AKD
  • AMM
  • BGH
  • DMS
  • GZO

Scan and save your financial forms and evidence, supporting civil documents, and translations as a PDF file. Then send them to NVCelectronic@state.gov as attachments to an email. Please type your case number in the subject line of the email. You can attach multiple PDFs to a single email, but each PDF can be no more than 5 MB (megabytes) in size. If you have more than one case number, use a different email message for each case. For more information, review our Document Scanning

This list is old and obsolete now... there a more countries that are PIVOT now, the best way to tell is when your petition reaches the NVC ask them... also you will be instructed to press option 5 for electronically loaded (PIVOT) cases, if not then your case is NON PIVOT.

I hope this helps.

Hi everyone, I was wondering how long on average is the wait after sending in RFE.... (only request was for another copy of long marriage certificate because the one included in the package had a tiny part of the seal missing) it shows on the site it was received July 16. Does anyone have any idea of the additional wait time??

We received a RFE letter on May 29th asking for a couple of extra passport photos (letter was dated May 21st). We sent the photos to USCIS on June 18th - would have been earlier but the postal service lost the first lot of photos I sent. They approved our NOA2 on July 2nd - so just over 2 weeks.

I submitted an inquiry for both my cases today as it’s now out of the normal processing time. Should get a letter in the mail from the service Center in 2 weeks explaining why both cases are still being processed.

The waiting game continues
