N-400 November 2017 Filers

Anybody else having and issuing logging in to the online system right now? This is what it tells me.

I've been following VJ for a long time and this is my first post. I hope my timeline will help our VJ-ers. I filled N-400 while i-751 was still pending. N-400 interview 4 months after interview and decision could not be made. However, Immigration Officer proceeded i-751 and N-400 at the same time with my spouse's presence. I received 2 notifications: I-751 : New card is being produced and N-400: Oath Ceremony will be scheduled in last week. Here is my timeline

 

Conditional GC was granted on Feb, 2015 

Vermont Center

11/10/2016: I-751 filled

11/31/2016: Biometric done

Multiple Inquiries: Your case was still pending

 

Norfolk, VA 

11/20/2017: N-400 filled

12/01/2017: Biometric done

01/29/2018: Interview was scheduled

02/27/2018: Interview was done- Passed with Decision was not made. Combo I-751+ N-400 Interview (Easy, just normal conversation) . Immigration officer told me she approved I-751 + N400 but because of system glitch (common). She would not give me approval 

03/30: Infopass appointment - No decision

04/01- Letter to Congressman for I-751 outside normal processing time. Got response in few days 

04/14: Infopass - No decision

04/18: 3 notifications: I-751: New Card is being produced (ELIS + USCIS+ Email ) 

         N-400: Post decision: submitted for quality review. When it was done, the oath will be scheduled (email) 

         USCIS online account: N-400: Oath Ceremony will be scheduled- Elis account showed: Approved Application

Hey everyone!

 

My N-400 was finally approved and I now see the "My Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled" on the egov.uscis.gov website, and the "We approved your application, your final step to becoming a citizen is to attend your naturalization ceremony" on the My.uscis.gov website.

 

Quick question to those that also filed online like I did: @destinychild1, @bcb, @Shamif, @Cjax, and @k4kovisit (or indeed anyone else who knows the answer):

 

1. Is there any further communication update I'll be receiving on these two websites?

 

2. Will the oath ceremony scheduling letter also appear in my "Documents" tab just like the Biometrics Appointment and Interview Letter?

 

Thanks in advance to anyone kind enough to clarify this for me. I'll be out of the country for a considerable amount of time within the next couple of months, so I'm trying to figure things out!

yes, that is exactly where we are at this moment. Oath Ceremony letter mailed and will show up online in a few days.

So basically you had the interview on the 18, had the "We approved you application" message first, and now it switched to "We scheduled your naturalization ceremony"?

Yes, that is what happened. This morning the online site showed Oath Ceremony Scheduled. Letter will show up in a few days. I expect to see it online tomorrow.

We are about there! Been a long and costly process. But the end is very near. Congratulations to all that have reached this point in their journey.

OK, great! Fingers crossed mine changes just as fast. It does sound . like I may have to come back early from one of the trips to naturalize. I'm cool with that! LOL

No kidding! I have lost my sanity countless times. Luckily we had VJ!

 

And now we just started the reverse process (Italian citizenship for my spouse!). That's going to take roughly 2 years of literally "nothing". It will sit untouched until the 2 years have passed, and then it will be approved... LOL

No kidding! I have lost my sanity countless times. Luckily we had VJ!

Hey do you have your interview already?? That is so nice! I am still waiting for my interview to be scheduled. Do you know if there is anything I can do??

I had my interview in March (3/12), and they combined that with the ROC interview as well. I was recommended for approval, however, my N-400 was stuck in limbo until yesterday, when it was finally approved.

 

Not sure there's anything you can do to get an interview scheduled, unless you have already been waiting a ridiculous amount of time (I know of people at one of the other FL offices who's been waiting longer than a year, completely absurd!).

I feel so sorry that I thought you were the other person who is also in Milwaukee filed office lol... you guys both started with Nik in the name. I have been waiting for almost 6 months so far. Was told that the process will only take 3-6 months. now I feel like I am in a swamp that doesnt go anywhere.
