Do they give oath date letter after interview or still process the case and may take more time? Is there a standard outcome of interview or it varies?

May 15, 2014 Case # and IIN assigned

DS-261 not required as I had lawyer on file

May 21, AOS and IV fee available and paid.

May 23, AOS and IV Packet sent.

May 23, DS 260 filled online.

May 29, AOS/IV scanned

Jun 3, Recieved email that AOS/IV fees are paid and I need to send the papers which I have already done.

July 3, Received postal mail from NVC that my visa preference has upgraded to CR1

July 8, Case Complete

It varies, for example I see that filers from NJ gets their oath the same day after the interview. I'm a NYC filer got approved on 2-27-18 and now waiting on the oath letter to come in the mail!

I opened the old system and it shows that the last "Recent Notices" was the Interview Scheduled but in Status Message:USCIS has scheduled your oath ceremony and will mail you the appointment notice.

 

Is this old system reliable? I remember there was a lot of issue in that system. I checked on the other two systems and none of them showing the update.

Excellent! I thought so.

 

And yes, it is reliable. I'm not sure whether the Oath Ceremony letter will appear in the new version of the system as unfortunately I am NOT at that stage yet, but it is my understanding based on what I read that perhaps it does not.

 

Either way, you will receive the physical letter soon in the mail.

I only found out about the old ELIS system from this post, and tried it - it showed that my interview was scheduled and I will get a letter. The new account login shows "biometric reviewed, no action required" (or something like that) and the case status by number shows "your case is actively reviewed". 

Hard to know which to believe. 

My PD is 11/6/17 and FO is NYC so it is possible and interview was indeed scheduled, but not too believable. Some people on the tracker here and on other sites with a PD of Nov or Oct 2017 mentioned having their interview already. The wait time seems to be all over the place. 

 

Any more people with experience with the "old" system?

I would most definitely trust what the old system says, especially if it's a recent update.

 

The new system will display your interview letter in a couple of days should that be the case.

I have the same exact situation, waiting for interview appointment letter and all of those three places you mentioned says the same exact things as yours for me, don't know what to believe, ahh so frustrating :( I want to call USCIS and see if they can help me further but I know they would tell me I'm within the processing time. So anybody know whats going on?

When I use the link for the old system, it ALWAYS brings up the new system.

I am the US Citizen

 

Journey to Citizenship for my spouse

Day 1    11-20-2017  Filed N-400 Online

Day 1    11-20-2017  NOA1 for N-400

Day 4    11-24-2017  NOA1 hardcopy arrived in the mail

Day 25  12-15-2017  Biometrics Appointment at Ft Smith, AR ASC

Day 104 03-02-2018 Notified Interview Letter Sent.

Day 151 04-18-2018 Interview at Fort Smith, AR 

Day 174 05-11-2018 Oath Ceremony at Fort Smith USCIS.

 

Day 1,370 - JOURNEY from K1 Visa to Oath of Citizenship is now COMPLETE!
