November 2017 I-751 Filers

Honestly, it's actually pretty depressing watching January 2018 and February 2018 filers being approved whilst October 17 and November 17 are still waiting.  I find myself avoiding this site for a while just because it stresses me out.

I've sat and imagined a perfect storm of issues for my case - stuff like they haven't updated my case on the site and sent an RFE but it didn't reach me because they forgot to put the apartment number on - worst case scenario stuff.  I've come close a few times to contacting them but I've seen August, September and October filers in a similar position to me - where nothing happened on their case whilst everyone else was being transferred or approved - but they eventually get an approval out of the blue.

Maybe sometime soon...in the meantime, got to keep positive and carry on.

If you applied N-400 and did not get your ROC yet and they transferred  to NBC, it seems that you might get combo interview.  However when the interview will happen depend on your local office's time line.  My case,  ROC, EAC18061XXXX ( filed Nov 27, 2017) still waiting  in local office ( means service center, I assume) since April 9, 2018.

Filled N-400 also.

I'm in the same situation, but some people still got their ROC approved after being transferred to NBC with N-400 pending.

I have raised a service request to see if my interview will be combo interview. Will see if they response.

How did you request? by phone call? by erequest (online)? in general, I am wondering how do people get information? i made an infopass (15 months from ROC, 3 months from N400).

We are in the same boat. It's tough to "keep calm and carry on" when you see so many approvals come through, yet you're still in limbo. But I agree, staying positive is best.

I sent in my ROC in early November 2017 to VSC, then was transferred to Texas in mid-December 2018. Zero updates since then. UGH!

I decided not to wait any more and I'll be filing my N-400 this weekend.

JellyBean1987- Good decision.  No point waiting.  The worse case, you might need an infopass to get your passport stamped, if your 18 months expires and you have not got your GC and they decided to go for a comb interview.

Still waiting for ROC.   I applied in Nov 25, 2018.  Local office's waiting time for N-400 is 9.5 months to 20 months.   By Feb 25, 2019, three months will be out from the long waiting time for N-400.

Not everyone is ready to apply for N400 , it is true that the end of the tunnel but everyone's circumstances are different and some people prefer to wait or postpone it .

Absolutely! People should do whatever makes the most sense for them and their particular situation. 😊 I was in the "postpone" camp, but I'm personally growing fed up with the wait for my ROC.

Edited to add: For me, becoming a US citizen is an emotional matter, not just a practical or financial one. I'm sure other folks feel this way too.

I just got my 10 years GC today! I was approved on Ferbruary 1st and I am surprised how quickly they sent it from Texas. It really feels good after all that stress, I was in the waiting list for over a year and now I can renew my DL, keep my job and travel without problems. I will start the naturalization process in a few weeks. I wish you all the same luck and don't lose hope. My number is EAC18066*****
