zMay-  ROC interview is not very common.  Based on 238 cases I am following , EAC18061000X, I have seen only two interview.  I assumed that both of them applied for N400 and their applications were send to Lee Summit for combine interview.

Not sure why they sent your application for interview.  Hope for the best.

I agree with dilip.  NBC doesn’t really schedule a stand-alone I-751.  This is in the adjudicator’s manual.  That can done at any service center that has your file, and your file can go directly to your local office, if you are randomly selected for an interview.

I wish you all the best zMay, keep

us posted, please.

Are you trying to say that there is still chance not to go through that stress??

This si what is statet on the notice: "We have completed a preliminary review of the application listed above. We transferred your case to uscis Lee Summit, MO national benefits center so an interview for your case can be scheduled."

So, from Vermont they tranferd it to Lee Summit, why? If they could scheduled interview at Vermont why transfer the case to Lee Summit "so an interview for  can be scheduled"? It's so...confusing

Based on what you said plus the fact that you did not file for N400, it does sound like you are being (randomly?) selected for I-751, which doesn’t happen very often, but it does happen and we see people in here talking about it from time to time.

I don’t really have an answer for you as to why they sent your file to NBC.  If you Google adjudicator’s manual, it will tell you quite clearly that an adjudicator can transfer the file to local office IF he/she feels that there is a need OR if you are randomly selected by the system (they use the term “the computer” in the manual)

Most recently however, most people getting a I-751 interview are all combined with N-400, I saw and read their posts.

GBOS seems shed some light on your case and it seems that you are randomly chosen for interview.  If you submitted all the proper documentations and you enter in marriage in good faith ( I am sure you are), it is just the inconvenience you need to go through.  I am assuming NBC will send the case to your local office ( like they do for N-400) and your interview will be held in your local office.

When you will for for  interview ( both need to go), take all the submitted paper work and also same documents from filling date to latest and any additional documents which might help your case.

You will be fine.

There has been no movement on my case as well as 10 cases above me. All others are getting approved left and right. I am an EAC filer and last movement was in April 2018. Since I was in middle of changing houses I didn’t submit my N400. Going to do that this weekend.

It is worse in my case, EAC18061XXXX, Cases above me a few and below me a few were approved , but not mine.  I noticed ndkellys case was approved, same group as mine, and he filed Nov 22, 2017.  I am Nov 27, 2017.  So hopefully, It will be approved soon.

Oof.  I haven't posted here in a long time, and plan to update my timeline later.

I have a case number of EAC180445XXXX, filed November 29, and my wife was approved January 31.

It was hilarous because we called to make an infopass appointment to get her passport stamped and they guy on the phone was like "well you can't get an appointment because your case was approved yesterday..."    Her letter had expired only 2 days before we called.

We were excited and sort of disappointed that we found out from the phone and not a message LOL.  Either way, her card was shipped and should be here tomorrow.  We already received the "congratulations" letter.

I am so grateful for this website!

Still waiting. We applied for 751 in the first week of November 2017 and 400 this previous November. Our case was transferred to Lee Summit, MO. We haven't had any RFEs yet and were interviewed for AOS. There are no complications or complexities with our case so I'm hopeful we'll luck out and get a combo interview. Our extension letter is good for another 6 months, but we'll need to renew a foreign passport.

How are people filing the N400 before receiving the 10 year Green Card?

Am I understanding this correctly:

Wife had 2 year Green Card, that expired.

Received Extension letter for one year, now expired, but Green card in the mail for delivery today.

That's 3 years right?

Does that mean she can immediately file N400 since she's been here 3 years as a GC holder?

Yes, you are eligible to file N-400 beginning at the 90th day prior to your 3rd anniversary of becoming an LPR, if you are still married to the same US spouse during that whole time.  Basically at 2 years 9 months after you get your first green card through marriage.

Whether or not your I-751 is approved at the time you are eligible to file for N-400, you can file it.  Your N-400 however CANNOT be approved with I-751 being approved.  So many people have a combined interview of I-751 & N-400 and received both approvals on the same day, while some have to continue to wait for I-751 to be approved, if N-400 is unexpectedly moving very quickly depending on your local office.

Hey November 2017 Filers,

I can't believe we [some, not all]  are still waiting for our I-751 to be processed.  I noticed the CSC moved from processing at January 2017 to July 2017, which I was surprised to see such a leap!  Which means I'm hoping for a June 2019 approval date.  It sucks its moving so slow!
