I go almost every weekend to Mexico for dentist care, and i cross back with expired card and 18 months extension with no problems. Took me often 2 minutes to cross after the officer looks at my documents.

The issue/discussion is entering mexico without a visa. Entering the US is (usually) not an issue.

10/18/2017.......... I-751 package received VSC

10/30/2017.......... Notice received in mail

10/30/2017.......... Check cashed

11/02/2017.......... Conditional GC expired

11/22/2017.......... Biometrics completed

Hello everyone. I am happy to be a member at least of this group. I check this site frecuently and I appreciate people sharing their experiences. I am still in the line waiting for my 10 years GC, my case EAC18066*** was transferred to Texas Center on December 13th last year. I have been checking other cases being approved but none of them were previously transferred, they were all in "Case was Received at my local office" status. I wonder if by transferring to another center it will delay my approval? :( does anyone got approved after their case was transferred to Texas?

Thank you for replying in advance :)

My case 18045xxx was transferred to Texas on the 11th last month, lots of cases around mine were approved .

I am trucking cases that got transferred same day as mine and no movements yet . I have to travel end of March to my home country and need the green card to apply for Visa to UK to visit too.

Don't know if that will happen tho as things seem to be very slow and Texas is backlogged too .

They shouldn't have transferred our cases, if they did that because of the backlog they didn't make the right decision, it doesn't make any sense at all. Now we have to wait God knows how long. I have to travel too and renew my DL, I wouldn't like to go through the process twice for my DL and to get the stamp on my passport :(

Case Tracker, Feb 1, 2019, EAC18061XXXX

40 RFEs seems like a lot, but whoever is getting it is better off with RFE than an interview, I guess.

hi everyone.. so just sharing my experience here as i used to visit this site frequently. iam a VSC filer . filed ROC in Nov 2017 although i was eligible in Aug. (got Lazy lol) Got the 6 mon extension like everyone. Filed N-400 as soon as i was eligible in Aug 18.. same drill biometrics bla bla.. had my combo interview on 31st Jan 19. both were approved same day.. interview was very simple. Although my wife was present they only interviewed me. yesterday got scheduled for Oath ceremony in 2 weeks. DONE.

So what i would suggest everyone is if you are planning on applying for naturalization then file the n-400 as soon as you are eligible. If your i751 case file is also at the local office where your naturalization interview is scheduled than most likely its a combo interview. if your i-751 file is some where else than only the n-400 interview with the tests and all and you will have to wait utill the i-751 gets adjudicated. These are separate cases and lot of times they don't even know your i 751 is pending until ur n-400 interview day. I asked my interviewer why so much delay than he said the i-751 cases are not priority. Naturalization cases are. Other people have also been told the same as i saw in other forums here like this one https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/651896-n-400-and-i-751-combo-pending/

So my point is if you have been waiting long time and  are going to be filing n-400 eventually then better to file right away so that ur case will get some attention. I was not notified of the combo interview and only the n400 interview but you should go with your spouse regardless. I had a combo interview as my file had been transferred to the local office. My EAC no was 18045... but  i think its waste of time cause its all random anyway. probably depends on where and which pile ur file is sitting on. Also I travelled abroad multiple times with the extension letter. Also went on a cruise with the extension letter. never had any problem anywhere. 1000s of ppl travel with this. They know. Good luck!!
