I understand how you feel, but try not to let it consume you.  I've been so worried lately too because absolutely nothing has happened with my case and yet I see December 2017 and January 2018 being approved.

All we can do really is hope for the best, I'm sure we'll get our approvals through in no time.  This is just one of those little bumps in the road, but in the long term it will be worth it.  All good things come to those who wait.

ROC cases are usually get RFE or approved without interview.  I checked my group range , 69 approved 15 RFE, two calls for interview ( so interview is rare) and rest are waiting ( total 338, 113 was transferred ).  I have not seen any denial.  They just want to see the marriage is legitimate and as long as submitted documents to prove it, we will be fine.  Financial intermingling is the most important evidence they would like to see and even having child together will fall in lower category in their view.

However, I agree they approve cases randomly and very difficult to understand the process and it is frustrating.

I have been watching this thread for a while and would like to say thank you everyone for all the useful information you have provided so far.

Without checking out this page I would probably have been very depressed because of the long wait for the approval of my case.

Yesterday I received an email from my lawyer saying that my case have been approved and I should receive the 10-year green card in the next 60 days.

I'm so excited!! My receipt number is WAC18046*****. Though I never received any notice directly from the USCIS. They sent the notice of approval to my lawyer.

My case status hasn't been updated online either. Hopefully it will in the next couple days or weeks.

For those who are still waiting, hang on there and your turn will come soon!!

Just got a dreaded RFE :( :( :( the first one in this whole process. It says we "have not established eligibility to have the conditions on your residence removed" the documentation submitted was "insufficient". We sent in tax returns, a joint warranty deed, a homeowners policy, a loan agreement, my work benefits summary showing my husband as my beneficiary, our health insurance cards, joint bank account statement, travel itinerary and photos. Apparently this is not enough ugh. In fairness I did not think the ROC was as document intensive as the AOS so I didnt send as much (but will now) but I am just so bummed to know they looked at the application and we could been receiving the permanent GC if I had sent in more stuff to begin with. UGHHHH. Anyone else get one?

What did the RFE ask you to send?  Usually they outline what extra things that they need from you.

Usually it's the quantity of what's sent that gets caught out for RFE - like how many joint bank account statements did you send?

Hixsy - you're exactly right. They said there was no proof the tax returns we sent were filed, the tax returns were incomplete (I only sent the first page and not the whole thing), and the account details was not enough evidence to demonstrate a joint checking account (i only sent a copy of our bank account showing us both as owners (versus actual statements)).

I hope when I send all these back it will be enough. I'm kicking myself for not being cautious the first time around.

It's usually the tax transcripts I believe that they like to see.

Aside from that definitely send them copies of joint bank statements, quarterly is fine to cover the entire period of marriage.

Do you have any joint utility bills?  Any vehicle/household insurance?
