It seems to be variable depending on how busy the local offices are, usually it seems the biometrics letters are received in 90 days although looking back at some of the previous filing threads some members filing through the California Service Center are having their biometrics waived if they are recent.

Interesting. So I assume this is when they take your picture that will be on your Green Card as well...

Is this a fact?  I know they always require separate checks.  I mailed mine out last night and I did 3 different ones (since my hubby's daughter is included on his I-751 and she is required to pay separate biometric fee).  From my experience they always require separate checks.

Well I sent 1 check for the total fee and received my NOA a few days later they cashed the check...

Same, just not received NOA yet. They cashed one check for $680

Ok, so how does the ROC process goes? They get the package, cash the check, send biometrics (although, I have read that sometimes they use old biometrics from AOS), and then just put our file away until the processing time comes?

I was done with AOS very fast, it took 6 months but i had two RFE's and plus it was in Baltimore (busy office). However my husband is in the Army and maybe we were done faster because of that? Not sure but I was happy about that.  Should I hope again that military personnel gets their approval faster or should I just forget about it, and wait 2 years lol

What memo? You dont know what to write on the check?
