No updates on my end. We submitted my paperwork in early November and I got my biometrics done right before the Christmas holidays.

It's shocking that people's appointments are being scheduled halfway across the country, even if it is by mistake.

It's really shocking, makes you question what is happening at USCIS - I mean recently people received green cards with the wrong "resident from" date and now there is this issue with biometrics scheduled halfway across the country.  I hope that those appointments can be rescheduled at local offices for those it affects.

I had my Biometrics in mid December.

We moved from Virginia to Nevada and  did a change of address (WITH CONFIRMATION THAT THEY REGISTERED THE CHANGE!!)

We received the Biometrics letter 2 DAYS before the appointment supposedly to the old center.

We called the number and they told us "Just follow the instruction on the notice and MAIL it back. You will be  rescheduled in the future."

There was no way that they would receive it in time.

I just went to our new local center and explained the situation.

They were nice and did it on the spot (there was nobody there), and they told me that since it's electronic I didn't have to send notices or anything and I was good to go.

Of course every situation is different.

I really hope they fix whatever problem they are having.

It's crazy that it take 12 -15.5 months for this process and they still get it wrong!

Just wanted to share my experience of re-entering the US from Canada on an extension letter yesterday.  We re-entered the US via US Customs clearance at the Toronto Airport.  (Flying Toronto to Houston)  As mentioned by others my NEXUS card would not work, when I used the machine, a message popped up recognizing I was on an extension letter and I  would not be able to use my NEXUS, and please proceed to the regular clearance line. (bummer, but I thought I would try anyway).  At the custom agent, my husband presented his NEXUS and I presented my NEXUS, Green Card and a scanned copy of my extension letter.  He also asked for my passport.  The agent did not like the fact that the extension letter was a copy,  he was polite but firm, and asked me if I would try to travel with a photo copy of my passport.  Of course I said no, and said that the only reason I was traveling with a copy was to ensure that I did not loose the original, but that I understood what he was getting at.  Since I was with my husband, I had all my other documents, he allowed me entry, but was firm that the original letter would only be accepted next time.

Not sure if other if others have had the same experience, but thought I would share.
