Hey!

I traveled several times with my passport, greencard+extension letter and it went very smooth. I am a March 2017 Filer :). When you are coming back from Italy the person in the Italy airport may not know what the extension letter is because he/she may have never seen it before (they are probably new workers).. but they usually ask their manager about it and everything goes as it should.

In other words, yes, you should be fine with the passport, greencard+extension letter!

Awesome! :D Thanks for the quick reply!

Anyone still waiting for their biometric appointment? Pretty ridiculous

My husband is also still waiting. We called and received an email that they will schedule an appointment, but have yet to receive anything in the mail. At the end of the email it states if we do not receive anything within 30 days to call back... We are on the east coast, Vermont processing center. Is anyone else from the Vermont center still waiting?

This is so reminiscent of the time I filed my I485. My doctor didn't sign my medical form,  so I got an RFE at the interview and my adjustment officer got promoted shortly after leaving my application in limbo for months.

Now I got to deal with this during the Trump administration. I've called several times. Sent in online service requests. Went in for in InfoPass appointment. No word on my bio appointment.

Yes, they require the two passport pics, it is stated in the I-751 instruction booklet.  This is listed under "what initial evidence is required" on page 5.

It’s only required if your are submitting your petition under the exception - those who are residing overseas on military or government order.  I don’t believe passport photos are required for the ROC petition.

yep. I submitted mine without it and they accepted the application, cashed the check, and got the letter of extension :) Now waiting for biometrics appt.

Question for people who received the letter for biometrics already. how much time do they usually give from the time you received the letter and time you had to go in for the appt? 2 weeks? or more? Appreciate the help

The timing depends, I received mine on the Dec 27th for an appointment scheduled for Jan 3rd.  I had to ask for a reschedule as I was out of town over the New Year for a few days.
