Hi, Happy new year!

I went for my fingerprinting today in NYC (LIC location).

Went in at 8:30am for a 10:00AM appointment. There was no security checks or anything. Just handed my biometrics appointment letter and green card to get checked in.

Again, as people have mentioned here, they just scanned my right hand (4 fingers) once and informed me that the system found a match and will use the scans from last year.

There were quite a few people, the whole ordeal took me around an hour.

Now the wait begins :(

Yeah still no biometrics letter.....

I don’t know how long it’s been for you, but when we did our AOS, we had to call and put in a service request for my husband’s biometrics.  Our field office is Dallas.  We contacted the USCIS after 43 day’s without the biometrics and within two days we had the letter issued with the appointment scheduled for less than two weeks from then.

You may need to consider calling if it’s more than 30 days from your NOA date.

Received Bio appt letter on Dec 27th, for an appointment on Jan 3rd.  Sent in a re-schedule request (followed the instructions on the notice) due to being away on holidays on Jan 3rd.  Had not received a resched by Monday Jan 8th so I called  USCIS.  Level one could not tell me anything, told me I had to go to the back of the line and right now they are looking at Nov 2016.  Pointed out this was the I751..but not the bio appt...after a few round and round conversations (which I knew more about the process then she did), asked to be escalated to a supervisor.  Received an immediate transfer (with a 84 min wait - I didn't wait, I requested a call back...which, by the way, worked).  The 2nd level was very helpful, knew exactly what I was asking.  He told me I was rescheduled for Jan 22 and if I did not receive a letter by Jan 16th to call him back to get it faxed to me.

Let me guess...They told you to wait another 30 days?  Did you speak with a "tier one" or "tier two" rep?  Get to the tier two rep push you for a biometrics letter.  I figure the holidays and icy weather may have affected scheduling, but they should get you on the calendar!

Yup. Filed service request online. Tier 2 twice. Even an infopass appointment. And an email to CSC. Same deal, that they're experiencing delays. Which is BS because people who applied more than a month after me got theirs.

They say i751 will have mandatory interviews? It is a rumor I guess. Or they say that every year?

I'm just reading the whole thread before I add my info.

Anyway my my lawyer told me the same thing when I went to see her before filing.

Even if it been passed, it does not affect I-751 filers, it affects the new immigrant.
