The expiration date on my husband's driver's license is the day that the green card expires - however, with the extension letter that he received he should be able to get it changed. Has anyone done this yet?

I have an appointment to have that done at the DMV on the 19th, will let you know more then, but when I called the CA dmv they told me that they can renew the license but ONLY if you bring long the extension letter that has the letter C on it, which means your BIOMETRICS appointment letter ( I797C)

Well that makes me worried. Looks like I even submitted before you. 

 

Can anyone confirm if this is normal? Even though me and americanirish87 should be doing our biometrics from the same ASC?

Ours moved oddly fast - our receipt date was dated the day after I mailed it and the check was cashed like 2 days later too. 

 

Anyway, he went to biometrics and was in and out in 10 mins. Now we wait.............. which I think is absolutely ridiculous. How do they approve AOS in 3 months but it takes 16 for removal of conditions? Wouldn't you think the AOS should be more stringent!? We'll likely be applying for citizenship before the ROC is granted!

Agreed!! Just take my money and then take stupidly long to process....ok. I’m 110% applying for citizenship the minute I’m allowed to ROC or no ROC yet!

I secretly think that is what they are hoping.  I was watching some of the ones that are getting processed now and they are combining the ROC and the naturalization together.  No way to know this for sure but makes sense.  They get double the money with only one set of processing.

So is it possible they don't invite you for biometrics and just update your data from the last biometrics we did when filing to change status? Has it ever happened? 😎 that would be nice though
