FYI I submitted by RFE to TSC Wednesday June 12 via overnight delivery.

Today Mon June 17 I received a "We received your RFE" notice / NOA.

Fingers crossed.

Today, Mon June 24, I received a case update this morning that my "New Card is Being Produced" !

So FYI, a one week turnaround time after receiving RFE at the Mesquite, Tx Service Center.

Note: had not filed for N-400, so this was NOT a combo case.

Will be filing N-400 this summer.

Best of luck everyone!

Nov 2017 ( ROC, VSC EAC 18061XXXX) pending, Nov 2018 N-400.  Went for interview June 28, 2019 ( Philadelphia), Passed N-400, but decision can't be made at this time, since I-751 is pending.  Asked about the status of I-751, IO refused to say anything about it.  Said will review your case and will update the status.  So not clear the outcome. No discussion about I-751 during interview.  Only N-400 interview.

That is SO non-sensical.

We are giving you your PhD, but your Bachelors degree is under review?

At least we know it's not uncommon, if you read up on some of the other months cases, or the 'combo' thread, others have had same experience.

Came to say I got my GC in the mail yesterday!
Now starting N-400 this weekend.

Best of luck to all.

Hopefully nobody is still waiting aside from those of us who applied for N400. Anyone making any progress with transfers or getting a combo interview scheduled?

My wife has been scheduled for N-400 interview September 6 in Houston. I’ve seen where one lady in Houston had her interview about 2 weeks ago with a pending I-751and she said that the officer told her she was only doing her N-400 and would review her I-751 later and make a decision, she is still waiting. I seen  a couple others in other cities, somewhat the same scenario, they had there N-400 scheduled then cancelled because the I-751 paperwork had not made it to the local office. Then they were rescheduled waiting for there new interview. So what I did was contacted the USCIS for outside the normal processing times for my wife’s I-751 case which has had no movement in 532 days. There response was a generic sorry it’s taking so long. We cannot give you an update on when we will adjudicate the I-751. I replied with we have a pending N-400 can you please send the I-751 to Houston so we can have a combo interview. That was this afternoon, let’s see what the response will be.

I was November 2017, but Philadelphia local office and N-400 interview and IO told me that he would review I-751 and both approved,

We applied for I-751 in December 2017 and it got transferred to our local office in April 2018. We applied for N-400 in December 2018. We got called for N-400 interview on August 6, 2019. In advance of the interview I submitted the “longer than normal processing time” form online but didn’t hear anything back on it. My wife went in for N-400 interview last week. We prepared documents for I-751 and N-400 just in case. The officer only did one interview and never asked me (the US citizen spouse) to come in to the interview.  Her case is a bit complicated for reasons besides the pending I-751, so the IO gave us the “A decision cannot yet he made on your case” letter at the end of the interview. Three days later our online status changed to say that new green card is being produced and that we are in like for oath. This is Hartford, CT office.

Still waiting. My last update was when I did my biometrics last Feb. I’m kind of regretting applying for N400 I feel like it made my I-751 processing longer, it would be two years on Nov. ‘19 since. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Do not regret. I had the same feeling.  Now I am happy that I am a US Citizen.    If your ultimate goal is to get  a US citizen, then you are within the reach of it.  Once your N-400 interview schedule, you will get both approval.   How long others are waiting in your local office?  When are you expecting to get your N-400 interview?

Update I never got a response back from the original email, but today we got an update on the I-751 case transferred and new office has jurisdiction. I wonder was it a push from my email or coincidence. You be the judge.

This morning I went with my wife for her N-400 interview. We had a pending I-751, when she was called the officer met us at Door 1. I immediately told him we had a pending I-751. His reply is I know, I need to see what evidence you have brought and I may not need you. I told him we had brought all originals on the N-400 list, divorce decree, birth certificate , marriage certificate and brought continuing evidence for the I-751. He said you can be seated in the lobby, she will do just fine.
He was very friendly, my wife emerged 35 minutes later, she had a huge smile on her face. He approved the I-751 and the N-400 on the spot and he said she would get her 10 year green card and oath letter in the mail.
She said he did not look at any evidence she brought, but he did look through the mound of paperwork I sent with her I-751.
She said he did not ask her anything about the I-751 and moved straight to the N-400 interview. She said he was super nice and made her feel better because she was so nervous.

I was one of the few who still had the i-751 form pending since Nov/2017. Since I also applied for citizenship as soon as the window opened last year, they adjudicated both forms on the same day of the n400 interview. Besides the wait to hear something, everything else was simple and the officer was really nice.

They did sent me a 10-year green card a few days later, but I returned it on the oath ceremony which was on 9/25. I am now a US citizen. My timeline is below. Thank you all for your help!
