Yes, she filed N400 as well. I-751 interview is quite simple . officer asked for 2018 tax return + most up to date bank statements, we also added a house deed. Then he asked what we do for living, that's it. It only took 15 mins and he said he recommended us for approval and we will receive another interview letter for N400 only shortly and we got the letter on 4/5 for N400 interview on 5/20. We thought it will be a combo but it didn't..

Thanks for sharing your experience! Do you have to go to your wife’s N400 interview too? Even a 15 minutes interview is a nerve wracking experience. Well, you gave me hope that this hell will be over soon, one way or the other.

N400 is for applicant only so I will not be required to show up..  If you file your N400 as well, you may have 3 possibilities. 1. I-751 is approved (without interview) before N400 interview is scheduled  2. Interview is scheduled for I-751 only with pending N400 (like my wife's case)  3. I-751 will be interviewed when N400 interview is scheduled so both cases will be approved at same time. If you end up with 2 or 3, make sure you bring your spouse with you = )

I’m a possibility number 4: I didn’t file N400. I got a notice that case was transferred to NBC to be scheduled an interview. I’m sort of disturbed by this, since I filed jointly, no divorces any any of this stuff. I guess if that’s a normal thing now days, all I can do is wait and go to the interview.

There is a small percentage that I-751 will be transferred to NBC for interview.. That's not a big deal if you are confident on your marriage.. Make sure you bring all the supporting docs with you and you should be fine. NBC will transferred you case to your local office to schedule an interview and all you need to do is to wait for the letter from your local office. You will get a letter called G-56 notice from your local office once it's scheduled..

Forgot to say that you can keep calling USCIS to speak with Tier 2 officer ever 2 or 3 weeks (if still no letter for interview) just to check the location where your file is.. I called on 1/10/2019 and was told it's in NBC, then I called again at end of Jan and was told the same, then 3rd call around 2/15 and was told that file was already transferred to local office. 2 weeks later we got the interview notice on 2/24 for I-751 interview on 3/13 at local office..

Exactly right: “small percentage of I-751” applicants will be scheduled for the interview. This fact alone makes me questioning our marriage 😀 . Like, why us?

I will. Thanks for the advice. I’m going for infopass within a month. Will ask there as well.
