Hi

I have a question, i received an rfe with generic lists of informations, one of which is  asking for copies of lease etc. with no specific dates from the letter, we moved to a second address around may 2017. my name was not included on the lease on the first address... only at the second one. can we just send the second lease with my name on it? or should i put an explanation as to why im

not sending a lease for the past yrs?

thanks

Hi

i also got an RFE asking for my lease (which i sent them back in November 2017 but the lease looks like it was over October of 2018 but it automatically renews itself so since they didnt touch our case for 14 months they are asking me for another lease. Well long story short we still live there same place and that same lease i will send them explaining it is renewed for another year even though the date says it ended 9/31/2018

BUT in your  situation you need to send any mail that has arrived to you in that same address of where your spouse is the one listed on the lease,

provide a copy of the lease with any mail that you received in your name matching that address and just explain that you were never on the first lease but you’re showing that you receive mail there so you resided there

Yay!

I know that feeling of relief! It looks like a batch of applications has been approved this week.

I hope the rest of the November 2017 filers get their cards soon.

:) your welcome I forgot to mention try to find “important” mail bank statements, phone bill, electric, credit card bills those types if possible to prove you also live there at that address... if you have a driver license or state ID card with that address would be very strong evidence to submit

earlier this year I received and RFE. On Feb 13th I received a notification that they received my new documents and would start working on the case again.

does anyone know how long this takes now? Is the next step to approve? Or if they think things are still missing issue a new RFE?

my 18 month letter expires in May and I have an international trip for work scheduled in early June, so i am very anxious.

Thank you.

You have time , wait until April and if you did not get your approval, you may take an infopass for passport stamp.  Hopefully, you will get your approval.

I have been tracking 10 cases with rfe .5 out of the 10 got approve within two weeks after uscis receive response to rfe.

Yes,  that is probably a very good estimate,   Because in the past we had a RFE for something different and it was approved about 9 days after I submitted it.      I am mailing my current RFE back Monday.  Cross your fingers :)
