Hello all, still waiting like a lot of you. Does anyone know if there have been approvals for folks that have been transferred from California to Nebraska?  My husband is WAC1805900***,  was transferred on January 18 and last email with case status update says it was last touched on February 14th.  Thanks and best wishes to all.

Hey!  The cases around your number have been mostly moved recently (within the past two weeks) and a good amount has been touched, but there is still a long ways.

I remember you from the AOS thread and you guys were the first to get the GC!  It’s coming soon, I believe.  Perhaps two or three more months?

Thanks Amhara, I remember you from from AOS as well. I know one of the other folks near us in the list that got transferred on the same day but they went to Texas.  It is super weird how they decide who goes where. I am in IT and deal with analytics every day and I am not sure I will every understand their methods. Best of luck to you.

Sunya and Tim- Do not try to find out any logic of approval, transfer, RFE etc.  Once time,  I studied 338 cases and could not come up with any pattern.  The process is totally random.  They did not approve several September, October, Nov 2017 cases and moved to December, 2017 and Jan 2018.

Just wait with lots of patient or with lots of frustration.  It is an individual  choice.

dilip, I totally agree. If you did not have patience when you started this process, it should be a learned trait after K1, AOS and ROC. I will be happy when I can submit the the N400 for my husband. We are waiting till after the ROC is approved because my husband had a 4 hour overstay years ago and lost his use of the ESTA visa back then.  He just rests easier if we did it one step at a time.

I was just curious about the Nebraska transfer since all of my California service center friends on here got transferred to Texas.

Happy waiting everyone.

4 hour overstay caused his esta to be revoked?

Yes, it was revoked and he had to get a B2. They told him that it would have been revoked if he was one minute over. Once the clock technically ticked to the 91st day it is an overstay and you lose the privilege of the ESTA.  It has been a pain thru most of this journey and most times when we travel out of the country.  Good or bad we are used to it now and are happy when our process goes fast or if he does not get called to secondary when we travel.  Lesson learned the hard way.  Respect the rules.

Recently in N-400 board I read a similar story, he filed N-400 the day he would be eligible, so he did not sleep at night and filed  2:30 AM.  Which is technically next day according to his time zone, but not as per USCIS clock, since some of places still like Hawaii is 6 hours behind.  Initially,  after interview his N-400 was rejected since he filed one day early of his 90 days early filing date.  He has to fight hard to get his N-400 approve.

So moral of the story or fact is that each hour matters.

Did he file online? If the system allowed him to then I don’t think any IO has the right to deny his application. I think sometimes applicants must stand their ground cos not all IO have experience. One time when flying back to USA from Canada the guy at the airport was like I can’t enter cos I don’t have a stamp. I explained to him I don’t need one cos I had both my expired green card and extension. He started arguing and asked to speak to his boss who later verified what I said was true. This goes to show not all of them even know the same they’ve been hired to apply to applications. It’s sad but happening.

I understand,  you need to push hard. Bye to way, ultimately he got his citizenship, but it better to be careful and wait one day would be okay before filing- It is not related to your case.
