He actually did not. The stamp I have is valid till May but I'm going to visit family back home then. So I told him this and I asked for the stamp because of how hard it is to get an appointment for InfoPass around here (Boston). And I didn't want to risk buying plane tickets and then ending up not getting the stamp.

So I actually left pretty frustrated thinking I would have to manage to get another appointment days before my flight. But I'm hoping the green card is produced and sent to me before May...

Does anyone know usually how long after an approval I would receive the card?

He must have seen in the system a pending approval.      It wont take long.  Probably less than 14 days

Huh? I doubt there is a single RFE for not having kids - having kids is not mandatory...

Nor are kids a proof of a bonafide marriage.

USCIS is looking for a comprehensive picture of co-mingling finances & your life in general. Kids can be a part of it but of course don't have to be - by themselves they mean nothing in the context of the USCIS ROC process.

Not that from what I have been hearing recently if there has been a child born within the marriage that the immigration officers are not even looking at the other information I’ve been told that by six different people this

I mean I guess that having children can help one's case, but look at the flip side: giving people RFEs for NOT having kids seems very unethical. Imagine if you're a couple that doesn't want kids, or you're planning to have them later, or you're having trouble conceiving.

In my opinion -- and again, this is just my opinion -- prioritizing some people for having kids while penalizing others for not having them is a slippery slope.

Not true. Reviewing documents has a very strict guideline and files are being audited by the supervisor.  I can speak for three cases, all of whom are my friends.  They do not have kids and they did not get RFE prior to an approval.

Well of course it is unethinical   And actually is pretty much against their rules that they’re supposed to follow but who is to say that they are not following that rule this is my question and this was why I was wondering how many out there received an RFE  that did not have children compared to the people who did and it would be virtually Possible to prove that they discriminated against people who chose not to ever have children during the relationship or marriage in my case I had a tubal ligation and I think when I send my response to their RFE I am going to actually include that paperwork in to my package to prove that

I disagree there is a lot of corruption through any form of the chain of command so to speak and I should’ve been more specific in what I was getting at but like if you don’t file your taxes together per se you’re guaranteed to get an RFE but what if you have a child together and don’t file your taxes together are you still going to get an RFE? that’s what I would like to know how many people have experienced that

I have seen two people in January fillers group, with provide more evidence, and she was mad 😡, I don’t think 🤔 having kids or not got anything to do with ref.

Let pray for a fast process. Wishing everyone all the best.

what do they need for you? since I already sent them my divorce decree and the other docs that I think they would need, I am not sure if they will give me an RFE or just schedule an interview..

I just got off the phone with USCIS who informed me that my notice was returned from the post office so I just went to the post office and ask them because I live in a very very small town and the lady who delivers the mail in our town told me that there is no way that she would have returned that mail she knows exactly who I am what my addresses and my apartment number so to me it sounds like TO ME USCIS made some kind of mistake I don’t know if they use those automatic postage stampers and it didn’t get stamped and it got sent out and return or what but it Definitely was not my local post office
