Yeah and its a RFE for INITIAL (not additional) evidence.

I think all RFE's say "initial evidence" so you shouldn't be too worried about the wording.

What did you send originally with your package?

11/13/2017 - I-751 delivered to CSC

11/24/2017 - Biometrics Letter received

12/08/2017 - Biometrics Appointment Date

Actually, it almost all case statuses I saw they all say “Request for Additional Evidence”.

On a case tracker app, that's correct.  But the emails that come from USCIS appear to say Initial Evidence.  That's why I mentioned not to worry too much about the wording

I have not gotten one so I cannot confirm if they are different between the app status (which feeds directly from USCIS main page) and what the email (which also comes from USCIS) says.

@Have2win though suggests that he sees it on the website status that it says “Request for Initial Evidence,” and so we all are surprised since a copy of green card is most certainly the first thing most of us put in the file we sent.

I had one during the AOS stage and the email I got from them and the USCIS website said Request for Initial Evidence.

I'm not sure why it's assumed to be a copy of the green card though, especially if that was already sent in the original package.  They could just be looking for more evidence of a continued marital relationship - maybe something was missing, incomplete or not covering the time from marriage to the date of application.

@hixsy - Both @Have2win and I chatted in posts earlier today and we both went back to see the instructions.  I did told him/her the same thing you said that they probably are not looking for GC copy (she/he was worried because she/he does not have the card anymore).

Initial evidence include both a copy of GC and evidence of relationship.  If you think about it, Request for Initial Evidence means nothing was submitted to begin with (and that could not be true, surely), while Request for Additional Evidence means something was submitted but more is required to make a decision.

Playing with word choices here, I guess.

Yeah, I have read on some other sites they are basically the same, but they are not the same.  initial is exactly that something that was not included or signed.  Possibly they misplaced something.

Additional Evidence is exactly that they are requesting more evidence to back up what you have already provided

my guess is my evidence was sufficient enought to prove that our marriage is indeed real, but i forgot something simple.

I did sent a copy of my husbands greencard.

Understand and i say this from past experience with USCIS  they “loose” things to buy them time. On our I-130 they sent me a RFE for additional evidence they said the passport size photo was not included.  But i am 110% it was because i put it in a ziplock bag stapled to the application.   When the send these RFE’s out it basically stops the clock for them

Coincidentally this was issued on the 60th day exactly.  I would have been able to file and inquiry for “case is out of normal processing time”

Heyyyyy guys!

I got an approval  notice in the mail today that I got approved Feb 11th.  I checked my status online and still says my cas has been transferred on Jan 23rd.  Is that even possible?  The letter says I got approved and expect the card to be in the mail in the next 60 days.

I hope that letter is not fake lol.

I didn't apply for citizenship yet. I don't know if I should apply and be a citizen or GC is good enough.

For all of awaiting guys ...hang in there...you sre almost there. Check your mail regularly and carefully.
