animkofi- Be happy, you will done with your immigration journey in 10-13 months.

Totally agree with dilip. My situation is similar (I751 Nov 2017/N400 Oct 2018). it looks like once it's transferred to NBC (like mine, in Dec 21, 2018), the limiting step is in your local office. It's best to check the N400/I751 combo forum and see similar cases (and specially same local offices than yours). That makes a huge difference! For example, consistently it has been taking 13-14 months for Seattle people. (I have seen cases getting approved in only 4 months in other offices!). I sent USCIS a case inquiry. I will keep you all posted!

My ROC case ( EAC18061XXXX, NOV 27 filer) is not yet transferred, it is still says in local office ( so called) since April 9, 2018.  I filed N-400 in Nov, 2018.  I am expecting NBC transfer any day, but I have paper green card (I-551 stamp) for a year.  So I am okay for the time being.  Not getting plastic green card will have a nagging thought that they took our $ 695 for no reason.

Hello Everyone,

This morning I got the updated that my card is being produced!! HAPPINESS!!

I got a I-551 stamp on Jan 18, since I never received my new 18 months extension, and it was close to the time of the expiration of the first letter.

We got RFE on Jan 14.

We got it in the mail on the following Friday.

We sent the package on the Tuesday (the day after MLK day) and they received it on Jan 25.

With the petition back in 2017 we sent bank statements, lease, bills, photos, travel docs, insurances and other stuff with both our names.

The RFE we got asked for the same stuff just more recent (we moved to another state since we filed so the lease they had was of course expired) and if we had children, loans/mortgages or affidavits.

We sent all our new documentation (new trips- receipts+pictures, new insurances - car, house, health..., emergency contacts at our work/school, new lease, bills, updated bank statement - I made sure it said joint owner on it, and random holiday cards with both our names on the envelope).

Can't wait to get the card in hand and to start the citizenship process in the near future!

Hope everyone that is waiting gets an answer soon.

THANKS FOR THE HELP AND SUPPORT!

Best wishes to you all!

Hi

I am october 2017 filer, i received an update in the system for rfe around last week of feb and i havent received a hardcopy. its been 2 weeks, i already requested for a remail. is this timeframe normal? and what is the grace period that they normally give for applicants to complete the rfe? im worried it may pass the deadline without receiving the notice. thanks

I contacted USCIS (eRequest form, I selected receipt not delivered even though I had a question!).

I filed N400 on October 25, 2018 and I751 on November 11, 2017.

They confirmed that both cases will be adjudicated at the same time.

they said:

"Our records indicate that your Form I-751 and Form N-400 are currently pending and will be adjudicated at the same time.

Address Changes: If you move, please provide us with an updated address. For more information about address changes, please visit our Web site at www.uscis.gov/ar-11, and click on "Change Your Address Online."

For More Information: If you do not find the information you need through our online services and need further assistance, you may contact our USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283 or 1-800-767-1833 (TDD for the hearing impaired).

GermanG-  Good Job !  Now you do to have spend time to follow Case Tracker.  It is good to know that you were able to get that information from USCIS.  I am not sure if that is the policy of USCIS  that if I-751 is pending and N-400 applied, will be adjudicated at the same time.

The trick that I used to get their attention was to send them a "Case inquiry" .

If you select "Case submitted longer than expected" , the system automatically says "your case is within the normal processing times" and it shuts down automatically (you cannot email them anything).

so I picked "letter not received" "other"
and that's how I could get their attention! In 2 days they replied!

This is making us wiser!!

@Have2win

The initial evidence as stated on Form I-751 is only a copy of your permanent resident card.  All other evidence are submitted at your own will to support your “good faith” marriage.  No specific required list, as we all know.  Only recommended items.
