Hi,

 

My visa application process started under the CR1 category but at the time of interview I will be 2 years married. Is there any way I should approach this during my interview so that I get the permanent residency (IR1) instead of conditional? My interview will be in Santo Domingo, DR.

Both are permanent resident - one with conditions.

You will automatically get the 10 year if that is what is the case at POE - that's when you get the stamp in your passport. The time of interview isn't what counts.
