Sure I will keep you posted. My husband tells me not to do any medicals now and just wait for the interview. At the worst case they will hand us RFE.

thanks. i think i agree with your husband. it'll be wasted money if it turns out that a new medical is not needed after all.

So I had an interview today. Everything went smooth. We started our interview on time. The officer was very kind, she kept telling me not to stress out ( I am 7 month preagnant). She just ask for whatever documents we had proving we live together ( we had information about our one joint account and utility bill). She asked questions how I met my husband, do we know each other’s famielies, date of births - some basic info. Asked me about certified translation of my birth certificate and some of our photos ( we handed 4).  She recommended us for approval. But 10 mins after leaving the office I got sms and email saying that my card is in production.

the most important thing is - they didn’t ask me to repeat my medical exam, which I had the biggest concerns about.

hey guys, quick questions. i have just created an account at the new myuscis site and i saw this status "We are scheduling your interview" for my AOS, which apparently has been there since nov 23. i have been regularly tracking my case both on the main uscis website and app and this is the first time i saw this status. 

 

How long from this status, did you hear from uscis? And then there is another status I should expect after this, which is "your interview has been scheduled", which means they have already sent me a letter with the interview date (which is typically a month after this status), right?

I never got the case status “ we are scheduling your interview”. One day I got sms that my case status has changed and it said the interview was scheduled , and it gave an exact date. Few days later I got mail with more details ( time, field office address, what to bring).

thank you @Asiula. i did not think i was getting this status either. i only expected the mail for the interview to come, but when i saw this i wanted to check with others in case i missed something. i dont want to miss my interview!

 

how long did it take from the time you got the interview notice to the actual date of your interview?

 

btw - did your gc arrive yet?

So on 31st Jan I got SMS/ case Update status abpie scheduled interview. I received the notice post office on 2nd or 3rd February. I had my interview on 6th March and received my GC on 12th March. 

Maybe just in case I would schedule the info pass appointment ? Is there a chance your notice could be lost or sent to different address?

Unlikely, our mail has been pretty reliable and i have informed delivery. I also just filed in oct, and maybe just paranoid. Thanks though.

one VJ member from the DC office who filed 3 months ago (Jan 2018) posted that they got their interview sched already. i dunno what is going on, but it would be super great if they have become faster indeed. dare i hope?

I just discovered this thread and am grateful for everyone in the DMV area trying to help each other out!

USCIS received my AOS on August 1st, my case status was updated to "ready to schedule an interview" a while back (probably in late November, I don't remember exactly when I saw it for the first time) and since then nothing... except this weekend I noticed the status had changed to "unable to provide information on your case, please call USCIS". I called because of course I was worried and apparently it was just a system bug, their records still say that my case is ready to schedule an interview.

The USCIS representative told me that processing times for the Fairfax office are between 10.5 months and 18 months, which seems really long! It's definitely longer than the average processing times displayed on VJ. My husband thinks it's because DC is such an international city. What do you guys think? I would be interested in hearing from the VJ member who filed in Jan 2018 and already had his/her interview scheduled. Also, do you think processing times vary by type of AOS? I'm adjusting based on marriage if that makes a difference.
