Gay marriage AOS Submitted for B2 Visa

Hi Guys,

 

My wife and I sent off our AOS package last Friday and FedEx tracking says it will arrive tomorrow evening (Thursday November 2nd) So thought I'd start a new thread for anyone else who has a similar case...

 

My daughter and I entered on a B2 Visa in 2014, and my wife and I got married February 2017.

So we basically filed I-130, I-485, I-864, I-765, I-131 for myself along with the I-485 and I-131 for my 11yr old daughter with all supporting documents. I’m so nervous and worried hoping everything goes well.....🤞🏽

Did you guys submit any evidence for bonafide marriage with the application or do you plan to do it at the interview?

10/10/2017 We got married!

10/27/2017 AOS Package sent via USPS - Chicago Lockbox

10/30/2017 Package delivered 

10/31/2017 Priority Date

11/07/2017 Received email and text notifications about all 4 forms

11/14/2017 Received hard copies of all 4 NOAs

11/21/2017 Received biometrics appointment notice scheduled for 11/29

12/15/2017 Interview notice - interview is scheduled for January 19th! Holy #$%^ that's less than 3 months from PD!

01/02/2018 EAD + AP approved

01/16/2018 Combo card delivered

01/19/2018 Interview - recommended for approval

01/22/2018 New card is being produced :dance:

It sounds like a completely normal AOS case. You will for sure  get an interview so just keep collecting evidence until it's time for it. :)

You can always explain that at the interview.

For example, we couldn't open a joint bank account because I didn't have a SSN.

Keep reading threads here, there are so many people in the same position, you might be ableto get some ideas about possible evidence.
