Vets, since we're almost onto the NVC stage, has anyone come across any good NVC threads to follow regarding K1. I've searched but I've only come across CR1 filers not K's.

Anyone have any suggestions to follow any good content for what comes next for all of us....?

There is no meaning for a k1 to follow an NVC thread. As it comes and goes and nothing happens at NVC unlike cr1.

you can follow the monthly NVC thread when you get approved. It’s just people waiting for NVC number(as nothing happens at NVC) and talk there in order to not disturb people who are still waiting for their noa2(and anxious)

there are links in my signature that explains what to do after noa2.

Ohhhhhh okay.

I'm under the understanding that as everyone here eventually gets our NOA2's the discussion will lead towards preparing for the interview and questions regarding that. Am I thinking appropriately? I haven't peeked in on prior already approved months to see if that's the case...

Well it’s more like waiting for the NVC receiving and case number...(so it’s just more waiting but somewhere else...)

and then when things get embassy specific mostly. But as “everyone here” getting noa2 as quickly is not a realistic thing people at early approvals of the month discusses these at NVC topics (you can find one with each months noa2 dates like “April noa2 to NVC” etc.

Quick question.

Will a speed ticket affect K1 application? Does USCIS even check these kind of information?

no not at all does it affect nor do they care.  they only look for criminal charges

What does criminal charges include then?

If speed ticket needs the person to attend the court, does that consider a criminal charge?

Are you referring to the petitioner or the beneficiary?

All of the criminal charges of the petitioner that were serious enough were to be disclosed on the I129F form.

The criminal charges of the beneficiary are to be disclosed (and documents provided) at the meeting at the consulate.

Speeding tickets are civil infractions.

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

criminal charges are like possession of drugs, breaking an entry, robbery, murder, assault. the person only needs to appear in court for a speeding ticket because they either want to fight it or they didn't pay it off in time and it turned into a warrant.

trust me I know because I literally just got my police record 2 days ago and it's completely clean and I had quite a few tickets turn into warrants

Nothing serious. Just drive over the max limit of speed and pull over by the police.

Who does your question refer to though?

If it was the petitioner then no.

If it was the beneficiary I would disclose everything and anything at the consulate interview.

Hey guys, my names Gilbert(petitioner) I'm new here. Our NOA-1 date is November 1st, 2017. I've purposely waited til now to join this site. I've been a silent reader for months. I've been blessed that I can visit her (Mexico) on average every 2 months. I want to wish us all (November filers) best of luck and god bless us all with patience. We are hoping her POE to be around mid to late September 2017.

Cheers from the Lone Star State.

Aight, I'm dropping in on y'all before the NOA-2 storm hits. Hope you guys are as funloving as June, as supportive as September and less depressing than October. Sorry did I say that out loud?:whistle:

Haha... okay, I'm an Octonaut and I thought I was alone in thinking this. Hoooooly... our thread is a bit of a downer compared to what I remember of other months. I was thinking maybe I was just reading all of the posts more carefully since its my month than I did for other months, but it does feel a bit depressing in there most days. If sad faces scare away the NOA2s then we're screwed :P
