Yeaa But i Guess everyone is just keeping to themselves...

I am here every day just reading and looking for updates. It is quiet in this forum. So, I began reading updates from the August and September filers. It helps to read that they are beginning to adjudicate the petitions a little faster. My adjudication date has moved up several times. I am truly happy about that.

Fortunately, I've been able to spend time with my love every two to two and half months for several days. I love being with him, but the separation is harder each time we have to part ways.

I asked my fiancé where might he want to go for a honeymoon! I wasn't surprised to hear Nueva York. LOL

I want the beach...

Any ideas….I've heard that the Dominican population is heavy in Washington Heights. Is that correct?

My beloved fur baby is currently en route to America well before me :(

Extremely nervous for her flight and stress levels and rather jealous she doesn’t need a lengthy visa process to live with my partner.

Awww. I fully understand you. I was just thinking about it too. No idea how I should organize the flight. With the same flight I will take or send them before I will fly. With the airline or a pet "freight" forwarder... Which option did you pick? How long will the flight be?

I used a pet freighter, but her journey is a two part journey. So I used a freighter from New Zealand to San Francisco and they were wonderful and extremely helpful and great with my cat (who is very very skittish), then my partner is going to fly with her on board from San Francisco to Maryland. So all up I think it’s about 18 hrs journey for her :-/

i really enjoyed going through a company as it took a lot of stress off me. All I had to do was make sure she was healthy and they did the rest, paperwork, export things etc

That sounds cool. Which pet freighter did you choose? Maybe they work in Germany too

I think the company I used is only in NZ, they’re called JetPets. I emailed around various companies for quotes first and although this company wasn’t the cheapest option, I felt the lady who was handling my case was very professional and thorough which is why I chose them.

So I would ring round or email different places first and see how you go and if you like the people you’ll be dealing with.

Because YOU have to trust them and feel comfortable that they will take the best of care of your fur baby.

Ja, I already did some research and even if I don't know yet the prices, I guess I will pick them. They are on Facebook too and the pets look all pretty happy :)
