There was another case in November that was expedited and updated online.

These cases are also not updated online - (which is again Goooooooshhhhh USCIS seriously!)

(I saw the noa finally btw and I know it is a normal case - we both know they were not expedited and we do believe in the members are genuine. we did however had some trolls in the past and that is why I was skeptical)

I mean for me even though I did wait double their time, as I really sincerely do not want my noa before April cause I would be in big trouble if I get it, I felt bad seeing the numbers. For John and many others who are x3 the time obviously felt angry. Not towards people but towards USCIS

I sincerely hope this may mean maybe they are changing something, which would be good for everyone here.

But at the same time (excuse my swearing) F USCIS!

I understand what the conversation meant now.

AND I agree with you on all fronts.

I can only hope that this means there are changes coming soon with the process. Right now it might mean that we are left in the dark (A news bulletin would be nice from F-U(CIS)) but if it is a positive step towards getting things moving forward quicker even if it doesn’t happen for 2018 applicants, I’m hopeful it will help others in the future. Nobody deserves to be away from the one they love for even 69 days nevermind 365.

F-U(CIS)) should be our new slogan

and yes nobody should be separated this long... I understand they need to check etc. but this was a process that could be done in 1.5 months in the past.

And it should be that way again. now only if the administration actually cared about that....

@John & Rose /( @Naes too),

Do you mean you think that the reason that these applications got approved was because they were expedited cases and the applicants didn’t mention it/want to display favouritism (I can’t really understand your slang, lol)??

The picture of the NOA2 that was deleted definitely did not have anything listed in the “priority date” box. Doesn’t that box refer to an expedited case? The box was definitely blank....

I think they were both incredibly lucky. The priority date isn’t used with a K-1.

I’m at 8 months of waiting while they filed 168 days later with an agency that claims to process petitions in the order they receive them. That agency also claims that they are processing June 27 petitions which is 3 weeks past mine but they approve November petitions while skipping half of June, ¾ of July all of August, all of September and all of October petitions... no, we have the right to be mad. A process that used to take 3 months now is over 8.

How do you know your petition isn't being processed?  Considering that background checks are done for both the petitioner and beneficiary,  their could be a red flag from either of you,  maybe she over stayed her visa, maybe she worked abroad and their trying to verify her security clearance, theirs a whole host of reasons..  Just because you or I were first in line doesn't mean that our petitions will be approved before people who were in the back of the line... Again, each case is different.

She has never been to the US and I have Federal and State security clearances that have been in place for over 10 years.  She has her clear police certificates fro Ireland and Korea.

I was told by Tier II that our petition has not been assigned and USCIS states on their website that they handle cases in the order they were received.

Only the petitioner get a background check during this part of the process.  There is not enough information in the I-129F for a good background check of the beneficiary.  That comes during AP after the interview.  Background checks on the Federal level take about 2 minutes to complete unless there is a red flag.  Red flag cases are transferred to the Virginia Service Center.

They did seem legit to me too. I wonder if they are starting with the new updated electronic system with November filers. Maybe they will be back to the 3 to 5 months for NOA2. Us older filers are stuck in the old manual system?  Just trying to figure out some way to justify this. I was told again today that we have not been assigned yet. There are filers 44 days after me that are approved and some 3 to 4 weeks after me already scheduled interviews. That doesn’t even take into account the November approvals. Wait, if the approval shows up in the scans we should be able to find it.

does this mean there might be a possibility that November filers will be approved earlier than filers from earlier month?

It has already happened.  I doubt if it is a trend but it has already happened.

It's weird though. The fact that they skipped all those other cases. I'm a December filer but I feel bad for those that have to wait months and months to find out that November got looked at.

Yep! My fiancé is from Denmark. Not sure if it makes a huge difference where the beneficiary is from though. Does it?
