There are actually lists about what type of rfe people received if you search around. Shoegum has one in May under his signature I just deleted mine cause it was too big.

Umm, like a missing signature, forgotten check box. these are sometimes easy to catch and may come early. harder ones usually are proof of relationship. they ask for more evidence.

other than that the regulars are; letter of intent from the beneficiary (sometimes even if you sent one... ) photographs (because of sizes- cause not all countries have 2x2 and people sometimes don't realize its different) hmm passport bio picture (if people put stamps as evidence but forgot the bio)... oh and divorce decree (they want the finalized signed one.)

And it doesn't always adds 2 months. some people get it (lets say 10 days to arrive) and send it in a few days and then after USCIS gets it they get approved fast. maybe a month plus?

I see. Thanks for the detailed explanation! :)

OH?!

What does a 'deny' means???? Can't get married?!?!

Easy love. I'm just giving an example how we work the petitions and applications in our office. Basically the same type of government process so I am thinking that USCIS works about the same way.

But yes, A 'denied' in my example would mean you don't fulfill the requirements of the K-1. You won't get the visa and can't get married. If you know why you got denied and can do better you can try again, or you can try a CR1.

I think its pretty rare that a K1 gets denied though, right? I only heard about cases where its pretty obvious, like a couple that have never met in person before or where theres multiple red flags from a high-fraud country.

I can't imagine spending another year to go through the process for another type of visa... Otherwise we would just go and register for marriage. It's only because K1 is slightly faster (now it seems to be the same... gosh), that's why I chose K1 and not to register for now.

As I always say, you guys are awesome. I really don't know what I would do without this place right now.

I am an expat, and I was about to leave where I am living now when we decided to start K1, so it is really empty everyday for a year, in a job I meant to quit and a place with almost no one left.. So it comes and goes but I'm mostly still positive! hehe thank you all really really :D

I feel the same I would go crazy (or at least first make him move here and start CR1 from abroad! can't do this alone again!)

Hey guys :)

October filer here

I hear you Naes,

I’m renting now a smaller apartment with my kids, and counting down the days when I can quit my job!

I was hoping so much to be able to move in the summer break.. for the children that would be optimal.

I wanted to say my beneficiary is from Mexico and would like to follow any others from the same embassy. If anyone is coming from Jamaica I would like to see those times as well
