I love to play with data. I'm an archivist and historian by trade so paperwork is my job. I'm just now figuring out where I can find all the data. I'm not sure why you say there's no updates though. I installed the casetracker last night and I keep getting buzzed that there's movement in 'similar' cases. Just now a Japanese case from June 4 was RFE'd.

And yes, there's two dogs. My two babies

where can I download the case tracker?

They don't update the approvals as much as before. We used to count 700 touched cases per week at least now it's barely 300s...

but the data is in the google drive link I put in the overall updates and in my signature, you can use those and if you need anything specific tell me :) I'll try to find it too

case tracker is the one for normal daily.

For the November scan, if you have a windows pc you can do the scanning if you want.

But I warn you, it really drains you when the time comes. Seeing everyone around getting approvals, yet ticking yourself..

we are trying to improve it right now, cause Daniel is making it even easier for the scanner. (He is the October filer)

so if you're up to I'll be ringing you when November is coming up!

I'm officially a December filer, but I'd love to be in the game. I love seeing the approvals come in, even from the June and July months. It makes me aware that they are still processing and our time is coming. I can almost hear the ticking.

I have a question. If there's RFEs, will it come earlier or will it be the same time as the rest are receiving NOA2?

For example, Nov filers will receive NOA2 in May/June, if there's a RFE, will that come in around May/June or it will be earlier like in Mar or April or even earlier??

Unfortunately rfes can come at any time, depending on what it is about.Usually technicalities come out faster. But most of it comes at the same time, so you end up getting and rrfe while people are getting approved... its really frustrating.

What are considered as technicalities? Can you give an example??

That's what I was thinking, it should be so frustrating if ppl at the same batch are all receiving NOV2 while one should send back required document for reviews. but the rfe adds 1-2 months? Or go all over again????

There are actually lists about what type of rfe people received if you search around. Shoegum has one in May under his signature I just deleted mine cause it was too big.

Umm, like a missing signature, forgotten check box. these are sometimes easy to catch and may come early. harder ones usually are proof of relationship. they ask for more evidence.

other than that the regulars are; letter of intent from the beneficiary (sometimes even if you sent one... ) photographs (because of sizes- cause not all countries have 2x2 and people sometimes don't realize its different) hmm passport bio picture (if people put stamps as evidence but forgot the bio)... oh and divorce decree (they want the finalized signed one.)

And it doesn't always adds 2 months. some people get it (lets say 10 days to arrive) and send it in a few days and then after USCIS gets it they get approved fast. maybe a month plus?

From my experience in a totally different country and a totally different type of application (so I'll leave it up to you if you feel its relevant) I can tell you that we always tried to scan the applications for simple mistakes that are detected easily like Naes pointed out. That gets the case out from under your feet and you can move on to the next till the RFE comes back. If the RFE was something that was in the beginning of the process we hadn't looked at the case yet and it'll probably sit a while before we get to actually processing it. But if it was something more substantial we needed to review the returned evidence to see if it was what we asked for. Usually that means we can approve or deny the case cause the RFE'd information was the critical part. That's what I think happens at USCIS too. Once they get that evidence they can approve or deny pretty quickly.
