Thanks for your reply!

So did you literally answer that you are going to see your fiancé/fiancée in the States?

I am worried that once I say I am going to visit my fiancé on my B1 visa, I will not be allowed to enter. This is my concern.

Will they also consider the frequency of visiting the States? As I went there in Aug, Nov and each time I stayed there for 7-10 days and now I will visit again in Feb and I will be there for 16 days. I am a bit worried but I can bring employment letter, and lease letter just in case.

Yes, literally. Lying could only make it worse. What I posted was the exact conversation between me and the BP officer. Bring a copy of the things I have mentioned. (Don’t just say you “can”. Prepare the documents and carry them with you each time because you never know!)

Also, don’t  you think it is more likely you will be allowed to enter if you can prove you are trying to immigrate (EVENTUALLY) legally? (ie you will have a copy of your NOA1, right? just in case they ask to see).

Frequency doesn’t really matter AS LONG as you haven’t overstayed. 183 days out of the previous 365 is allowed on a B1/B2. I stayed for 175 days (in a row!) in 2016 and left and stayed out of the US until the one year anniversary of my initial entry passed.

That is most definitely on my file when they pull up my I94 and I still haven’t caused anyone to flinch when I enter (knock on wood now, lol).

I guess my emphasis is do everything legally and have ALL of the necessary docs to tie you to home. Let them know this immigration stuff is serious to you and follow through!

The word fiancé is not the “f” word. They can only stop you from entering if they have an inclining that you won’t leave. Answer their questions politely and truthfully and show them the evidence that you won’t stay if necessary and you will be fine.

That's cool! Thanks for the information. I think LAX is one of the most strict ports.

I usually become very nervous when they ask a lot of questions.

No, trust me. Strictest is MIA.

Hello, everyone! I have been using this website to gather the information for the process, but this is my first time positing on this topic!

I am from Japan and my fiancé is waiting for me in Philadelphia, PA. We sent our I-129F to USCIS at the end of October, 2017 and we received our NOA1 (email) on November 2nd, 2017.  It seems like the process is a lot slower than we hoped, but it is good to know that we are not alone in this!:)

I was excited that they re[lied fast.  I have been reading  that said November is on of the best to file since its slow and the process usually faster, according to everyone comments it running a lot slower that expected. Feeling a little bummed.....

Yeah it seems it will be longer than expected. I've been following the june thread and nobody there has been interviewed and it seems to be getting more backed up. Unfortunately all we can do is wait...

Yep, we will get approved when the time is meant for us. A few extra months is nothing when you think about the greater good of the end result.

You receive your NVC case number after your I129 is approved in the US. Once you receive your NVC number, you can do the medical exam and schedule your interview.

The National Visa Center will issue a tracking number for your particular embassy/consulate.  For Manila it is an MNL#.  That comes from NVC and once you get it you can fill out the DS-160 and generally schedule medical and interview.  Each country is a little different.

Yes, and no need to apologize.. Look in the top right corner of the paper you received, it should read "Form I-797C , Notice of Action"  (NOA1)
