NOA 1 - 3 Nov

NOA 2 - 22 May (RFE)

My fiancée is freaking out about what proof to provide. I lived in Jakarta until Nov 2016, and we provided a multitude of evidence from all of 2016 that we were together. Since I have submitted, I have also visited two more times. Nov 2017 for two weeks and Jan-Mar 2018 for two months. Within that two month period we also went to Malaysia together. I don't have the boarding passes, but I have the passport stamps, the credit card receipts for the flight and hotel, the confirmation emails, the credit receipts for my airline miles, we have photos there as well. My credit card receipts clearly show that I was in Jakarta throughout those times. Will this be enough to satisfy the RFE?

Depends on what they ask for in the RFE. The specifics will come in the mail. They aren't necessarily asking for more evidence of the relationship. Before mine came, I did gather information they would potentially be asking for: proof of income, terms and services of the website we met on (to prove its not an IMB). They ended up asking for a passport photo and proof that I'm a US citizen. Someone else on here forgot to check a box on the form. It won't hut to make sure your fiancee has copies of your boarding passes, stamps, recipients, etc, just in case that is what they ask for, but as long as you've provided evidence like everything you listed above previously it will probably be something really simple.

If you have the evidences, it should be an easy one. As for my fiance, he sent several flight tickets and POE stamps corresponded with his declaration he attached. Our photographs weren't even date-stamped.

Someone I know got this kind of RFE back in October 2017, they get approved after a week. Don't know if it can be compared with this month's timeline tho.

Good Luck!

Thank you so much at @Ashaaa !

I hope we also get our approval after a week.

I hope you guys will have a smooth process too!

Do you guys know if an RFE for proof of meeting within the 2 yr period is considered an easy one?

Does anyone of you had the same RFE? How long did it take the NOA2 to come thru after submitting this RFE?

It should be easy as long as you have proof. Passport stamps are some of the best ways, airline boarding passes (the passes they stamped at the boarding gate, not just receipts) are decent. Really, enough evidence that paints an entire picture proving your story all adds up.

i saw post in facebook and someone call to the UCSIS and asked if there was a recent policy change that affects the processing of November applications by the order of receipt and told her  explained to me that there are 2 factors: a back log of cases, and electronic filing. On 11/7/18 the USCIS began receiving electronic applications instead of the traditional paper cases. Electronic cases are easier to complete for several reasons. It’s not handwritten, or a scanned copy of a handwritten application. The method of working through electronic cases is allowing them to reduce the backlog.

Would our cases that were submitted after 11/07/18 be converted to electronic files via scanning? i dont remember seeing an option to submit electronically when i filed.

Oh, that sucks. I sent out mine like a few days before 11/07. My NOA is Nov 8th. I don't remember seeing any option for submitting electronically either. That sucks for us. It's really taking forever.
