Just got an email that my case was touched and I logged in thinking and hoping I got approved but it was for an RFE. Was really bummed to read that, God only knows what they need.

They are sending a lot of RFEs It can be something really simple. I'm glad you at least heard something.

Hope it will be smooth :) Good luck

Thanks @Naes but I have a feeling I know what they could be asking for and it might be something difficult,  of course I'm hoping it's something simple

If you have an idea. start trying to gather whatever you can. you have about 84 days to reply generally.

If you need help we are here to give any ideas that we can.

I have a gut feeling it may be something difficult though. Gotta wait for my fiancee to wake up to tell her the unfortunate news

What I think it could be is that we can't afford for her to fly to and from Egypt back to the states, so by the time she had filed technically the 2 years had already passed since we last saw each other. I dont know how else to prove it to them

Yes that is a really strict requirement. even if you could afford after the petition it wouldn't matter because it has to be 2 years right before the petition.. I'm so sorry for this.

So you didn't put any evidence of meeting in last two years when filing?

Yes we did put exactly how we met and everything on the basis of our relationship and we sent photos of how we are planning our wedding and sent in the wedding invitations. But because she was just getting into a new job, she couldn't take the time off to come out here. But we literally talk every single day and have planned just about every detail of our wedding

@NaesThe requirement that you have to meet in person within the last two years is for the date you send your petitition, right? When we filed it was 1 year and 9 month ago that we met in person. Now it is more than two years ago. That doesn't matter, right?

Yeah as am I. But if that's the reason for the rfe is there anything I can do to prove it to them? Because I feel like if that was the reason for the RFE and it's such a strict requirement then they should have just denied it all together, right?

Some people simply forget to put evidence of meeting so they don’t straight deny easily.

I believe they see that you guys know each other and really are together and asking for more evidence. Let’s wait and see what the rfe will be.
