Does anyone know if the uscis app updates you when they touched your case? like last time someone touch your file? i am a november 24th filer and i am not doing well with these recents update from november....

The problem is, I think it updates after they've saved it for the day or whatever, and I think most of the work once they do touch it is completed in the same session, so you're not normally going to get a series of "case was assigned" "case was opened" "case was..." though it does appear that the new website is designed to do more of that, but I haven't seen it in action enough to know.

I think they're probly frustrated with the system themselves. A few years back a new system was installed at my office where we had to process every step we took on the case in a digital online environment so the customer could follow his application. But we had a system developed specifically for the work in my department that took us through all the steps of the application process, only it wasn't linked to the new system. None of us wanted to update two systems at the same time. So what happened was, we used the old system and only after adjudication we updated all the steps in the new online environment. I know, not very customer friendly, but that's human nature. We are creatures of habit.

Day 212 here

In my experience, I have never seen my case (either on the old site/app and new) update when they've touched my case; however, when i've spoken to Tier 2 officers (on several occasions), they've verbally told me the last date my case was 'touched' - still waiting and i've heard nothing from USCIS, no RFE, no nothing - just crickets....

I literally design business process management software systems for a living, I totally get it.  The problem is usually someone in "the business side" makes a decision to buy a new piece of software, the data exists somewhere else, and then those same business people decide they don't want to pay more to properly connect systems / databases. The IT people are told to just figure it out, but they aren't getting any more money to make it happen correctly.

The people doing the actual work are just cogs in the wheel doing a set of steps they've been told to do and suffer for it, and the end customers are also not happy because the system is now inefficient and prone to error.

Same here. We got a new system without enough training and almost everybody hates to work with it. Two years later we are still struggling with parts of it. They are adjusting it again and again but actually working with it is Try and Error 🤣

Same here with my job. There is an internal development team that created a supplement site to use to make the transition easier; it was also used with the old system but they had to re-code the whole thing to make it functional. I know one person who uses the new system over the supplemental site and its only because there is less of a lag. More people use the old system to reference old issues than they use the new system with all the transferred data (which was more than 15 years worth of data).
